Hi. Lovely ,mouth watering thread this one.
Yesterday I made sweet potato, ginger and coconut soup which was delicious and today I have made a gluten free sponge with vanilla buttercream and jam. I covered the top in butter cream , then piled on as many different sprinkles as I could find in the cupboard. It looks yum.
Happy munching

Today I was going to make a pineapple upside down cake. Except I didn't have any pineapple. OR golden syrup. ( I really thought it through eh...)
Ended up being a pear upside down cake with honey. Worked out pretty well in the end.2016: No Clutter to Be Seen 805/2016

Not baked as such but we tried Oreo pops.
Just made 2 for the kiddies to try, and they worked ok so will do more this week for the school fayre on Friday.
Just pulled the Oreos apart, used a little melted choc to cement a lolly stick in and stick back together, then once set, covered in more melted choc (we used white) and topped with festive sprinkles.
Really easy, if a bit messy...Bossymoo

Today I followed Islandmaid's recipe from frugal queen for mincemeat. Or not! Stupidly I bought powdered suet not shredded. That means I have a bowl full of fruit and alcohol and apple and sugar marinding overnight til I get the right suet. :rotfl:
At least the flavours will be full on!!!!!
DH was not impressed that I subbed Brandy with his whiskey. Tee hee. And a bit of cherry brandy. Tasted fine to me!
Happy munching
