I'm not sure that it counts as baking.
But today's dessert is rice pudding, made in the slow cooker. The ingredients are in there, ready to go, I just need to remember to turn it on this afternoon!

I didn't think about rice pudding in the slow cooker, that's a good idea thanks2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -

I'm very impressed (and somewhat envious!) of the beautiful cakes. I can cook, but I can't really bake. It's my complete inability to properly follow a recipe that does it. I'm very much an eyeball it and hope for the best cook (but not good enough to be able to be precise, which baking seems to need).
That all said, today I'm going to make blood orange and poppy seed muffins, as Miss Dragon has a friend coming over after school today.0 -
Today I baked a loaf of white bread, which I have sliced and froze, and then I baked a batch of midnight cookies, my first try. They were delicious and sadly I forgot to take a photograph because the whole lot was scoffed!
Both of those cakes look lovely! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'm baking a carrot cake for someone's birthday on Sunday, would it be okay to bake this evening and decorate tomorrow? Wasn't sure where to ask.
