I've baked lemon drizzle cupcakes, banana muffins and chocolate and plain sponge marbled together. These *should* last the week for lunches...

Evening all  Sparrer, I hope you're feeling better now :)

So my last weeks bakes include English Madeleine's and 2 cakes for charity, a strawberries and cream cake, and a chocolate Batman Minion cake.

I did bake one other cake, but it may not be to everyone's taste. I have to say though, I've never laughed or had anyone laugh so much when they've seen this particular cake, so here's my disclaimer: Don't click on this link if you're easily offended, contains an image of an adult cake. Also contains curly candles and potential 'great balls of fire' :D

There's nowt wrong with lurking :) and thank you am getting there with cakes, should really post the one I spectacularly dropped all over my kitchen the other day. I did shamefully eat the bit of the top though, just to test it out.

I quite like baking for Free Cake For Kids, it means I can bake and not eat it all, which I'm all for - I mean the kids, it's all for the kids

I can't repeat the puns surrounding that cake, but you can imagine *may contain nuts* :rotfl:

Today i made a Chocolate, Cherry and Almond loaf cake :)

Any chance of sharing the recipe? It sounds really nice.I'm a pushover for anything with almonds in.

Yesterday evening I was meaning to make a vinegar cake, but forgot to bring up some bicarb from the cellar, and din't want to go out in my PJs.I managed to find a substitute recipe-a chewy, spiced fruitcake. It hasn't risen though, maybe it's not supposed to?It's from a recently acquired book called 'Cakes:regional and traditional' by Julie Duff, which cost me peanuts on Am@zon marketplace. There's lots of great sounding recipes that I plan to make.

I have two manky bananas to use so I might do a loaf cake.
Need inspiration as I always do banana and choc chip.

(I am out for a curry tonight - might appease OH if there's cake for dessert)
