The madeleines look so yummy Kevie.
No baking today or for the next few days as I have a gastric virus, thanks to the Chinese I had at the weekend, so am on liquids for five days. Soup and ice cream doesn't sound too bad a diet, maybe I'll lose a lb or two in the process

just make cupcakes and adjust the baking time.so easy, i'm not keen on raisins so don't put any in just a bit more carrots and so far it's my favourite.

Blueberry Cake made today. First time I've actually used blueberries in anything and it's gorgeous.
Love the little pockets of 'zing' in the cake!0 -
I've been having problems with ALL my baking in recent months - had been thinking that perhaps the thermostat in the oven had gone OR perhaps the oven door wasn't fitting tightly enough.
However, yesterday's Blueberry Cake was a resounding success. Have now got a Lemon Drizzle Cake in there - my 'piece de resistance' - and it's fingers crossed very firmly indeed.
I need for this to be a success - along with another one - for tomorrow evening's buffet at our Charity Shop AGM

Hi

Do any of you have any cost effective recipes as to something I could bake for DD's birthday cake? I can bake and am willing to try almost anything as long as it's not expensive, tastes nice and looks good

DD is off on her first cub camp later so I made jammy cakes (frugally well.co.uk), melting moments and brownies.
Everything is name labelled (apart from the cakes LOL) and she packed last night. Fingers crossed for ok weather.
