    Thanks Florenceem! I might try that tomorrow (had a sponge planned originally) with rhubarb instead of apples though, it's just coming up and I can't wait for the first harvest :)

    I tried making coconut snowballs from a recipe I found on the tesco's website but it didn't say how much cake to use so I bought one of their Madeira cakes but I don't think there was enough cake as the mix seemed a little greasy. I just wondered if anyone else has made these and if so if you had a recipe.

    Date, orange flower and star anise biscuits.

    I normally don't eat what I bake but I tried one of the plain little biscuits to see what I'd need to balance my offering with coffee tomorrow night and.......I'm in love. They are really good.

    I made peanut nutter and banana muffins - nice and fluffy so will make them again (I thik it was a Rachel recipe) now just writing the saturday baking list - need to make bread tomorrow as DH is home but need to make some cakes I can eat for once. (plus only have a weeks worth of muffins in freezer for DH so have to stock up as he is a piglet)

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Six seeded bread cakes (rolls,cobs, baps, or whatever you call them in your neck of the woods)
    Two jam roly toys, one big and a mini one made from the scraps I cuts off the big one to make it rectangular

    And after the school run I will knock up a quick flapjack too
