The wind has blown most of the apples off the tree so have had an apple baking blitz this weekend......
4 apple crumbles
5 apple pies
5 eves puddings
big pan of stewed apples................
Stocked up nicely for winter now as this is the second weekend of apple factory!
Well not much else to do in this weather is there!:A Goddess :A0 -
No baking, just stewed some of the apples from the tree, and roasted a turkey drumstick in the sc.0

Martha Stewart's one bowl chocolate cupcakes, iced and decorated (with some help from DS). I'm trying no-knead bread for the first time (as the Kitchenaid is not working *sob*) so fingers crossed that this is a success. And we had a delicious creamy chicken pie for supper with leftover chicken and veg from yesterday. Great day.0

A quick question if baking a French apple tart is there a accepted way for arranging the apples ie clockwise or anti clockwise0

Today I'm in the middle of making:
Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream and white meringue ghosts.
Coconut cupcakes with lemon buttercream and cookie 'dead fingers'.
Apple and cinnamon cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and sugar glass shards with raspberry 'blood'.
The toppings are taking longer to make than the cakes, but hopefully they will look better than the last Halloween cakes.'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0
