    That does look nice.Well done.

Thank you :) it was quite simple, just 2 x choc sponges sandwiched and covered all over with choc buttercream. Then I stuck kit kat fingers all round the side (you can also use cadburys fingers) and poured sweets (I used malteasers m&ms and counters) on top.

I found a recipe and made a Chocolate Crazy Cake today, i loved mixing it in the tin, but when it came out uh oh at first it came out with just two tiny chunks left in the tin so i got them out and pressed them back in place, went back out to it and it had cracked into 4 quarters :rotfl:delicious though :)

I had a day off work yesterday a little luxury. Consequently had time to bake and made this

:http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/538583/sweetie-tray-bake, with child friendly sweets for a colleague who leaves my workplace today, a plain wheaten loaf and a wheaten loaf with cinnamon and sultanas. All only took a hour.

I forget how easy baking is sometimes....... roll on retirement!!!
  • Today I am making Carrot Cake Muffins - loosely based on this recipe: http://www.dovesfarm.co.uk/recipes/carrot-cake-muffins/

I'm also going to make cod3's Mushroom and Lentil loaf http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=62872823&postcount=16

And I'm also knocking up some jam from leftover fruit. Phew!

Had a baking day with DGD yesterday.
Just me here in evening and I was exhausted so dinner was DGD's home made Egg and bacon Pie with some baked beans.
DGD is 12 years old - first time she had made pastry.
Need to restock my baking cupboard - nearly out of Desiccated Coconut plus had to buy more eggs - we used - 12!
Photos later - DGD did 6 recipes.

Mother in law and other family/friends are coming for lunch tomorrow so I have baked 2 quiches and I have also made JJ's cheesy herb bread into pizza bases which seems to have worked out well.
Was going to bake a cake as well, but my 2 yr old got the flour from the worktop and it ended up everywhere, with none left in the bag. :(

  • Today I baked some of twinks hobnobs but I dont think I squashed them enough as they still looked like 'flattened balls' when they came out....it was getting better by the third tray- I had no idea it made so many. They got enjoyed by the in laws on an impromtu visit, they always enjoy being my baking guinea pigs!:p
