Couldn't sleep tonight as I've lazed around most of the day due to being a bit ill, then perked up in the evening. So, it's 3:45am and I've used a whole kilo bag of gluten free flour and made the following:
a large sandwich loaf
8 small bread rolls
4 large pita breads
far far far too many crackers
Pretty happy with this as I won't have to bake for a while nowOctober Grocery Challenge: £20.65/£150
September Grocery Challenge: I lost track/£200

Yes of course, this is it I found from an old thread on Mse but instead of strong white I used basics plain flour.
1 cup water
1 tbsp oil
3 cups strong bread flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp easy blend yeast
Place all ingredients in bread maker put on dough cycle.
When finished knock back on floured surface gently divide dough into 6-10 equal pieces shape into a ball cover and leave to rest for 10 mins, pre-heat the oven 230c/450f/gas8
Flatten each piece of dough slightly and then roll out into an oval or round about 1/4'' (inch) thick lightly sprinkle each bread with flour cover and leave for 10 mins
Place the pittas on baking sheets until they are puffed up and lightly browned 6-10 mins place on rack to cool.

baked a sourdough loaf and a German onion cake yesterday (it's sort of like a cross between a pizza and a flan with a bread base). The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

They look gorgeous!!Today I made pitta breads for the first time and was really pleased with the result, so much better than the shop bought ones which
I find are not good at all. They tasted nice and also opened easily instead of falling apart as I find shop bought ones do.I also made a rhubarb crumble while the oven was on.http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg501/rickyblue1/SDC10180_zps861f8aa6.jpg0 -
Yesterday I made jj's herby cheese bread recipe in dumpling form to go with my beef stew - they were delicious.Mum of 2 monkey. 4 yrs and 2 yrs :j

Here is the cake I made last night - made buttercream for the topping. I made the amount of buttercream recommended for 8inch cakes but there was far too much. I have put the LO buttercream in fridge.
Experimental cake recipe from a US site. I cooked for the stated time plus tested it was cooked with a skewer. Should be baked in an eight inch square pan but I don't have one. It is meant to be a very moist cake.
We tried a slice - eaten with cake fork - is yummy but not what I call cake texture.
Could have eaten it with custard if I hadn't topped with the buttercream.
So result - not what I expected but won't be wasted.
I will have another go at this recipe. Ingredients list - nothing like I have tried before - called Crazy/Wacky Cake.
