Made a Nigella mandarin cake (but with oranges!) which is lovely - just had a slice with some double cream. It's quite bitter but in a good way, but not sure kids will like it - which is a shame as me and DH will have to eat it all (he he)!0

I have loads of odds and ends to use up so I'm making salted caramel brownies as a gift (friends just moved house).'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0

Chocolate and pear cupcakes. Glad I managed to use up cocoa powder that had been hanging around for ages, eggs and a couple of sorry looking pears0

Lemon drizzle cake to take into work for my birthday. Tomorrow I'm also going to do a chocolate cake (always popular with us lot!) and maybe some strawberry flavour fairy cakes.0

I made banana, walnut and chocolate loaf as DD especially requested it and i had some really disgusting bananas to use up. brown bananas make me heave, but this loaf was very nice indeed (although massively fattening!)
i also made sourdough bread and used up the discarded sourdough in pancakes - they were so much nicer than I expected and DH and I ate every single scrap despite the recipe feeding 8 people (oops).0
