    OH made some bread pudding today using up dried wholemeal bread. Soaked bread in water for an hour, then squeezed out all excess, added dried out of date fruit, chopped walnuts, chopped dried figs, brown sugar that had hardened and 1 egg with a spot of milk. Cooked on low for 1hour. Lovely and nearly fat free.

    I've never thought to add nuts - thank you PP, *smacks forehead* why have I never tried that? - we always have nuts!

    I soak my fruit in strong tea & occasionally add a drop or two of vanilla :)

    Rhubarb and ginger muffins. I HATE this time of year cos all that seems to come back from the allotment is bl@@dy rhubarb, so found a muffin recipe but it only uses 150g what to do with the other 3lb :rotfl:
