2 x fruit loaves, using standard white bread mix, plus added demerara sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 70g dried mixed fruits.
They seem to have turned out OK, and taste OK (still warm, couldn't resist it:D)

  • I made some gluten free flatbreads with onion and caraway seeds and some gluten free choc chip cakes. They are all wrapped and frozen for DD's lunch this week.

  • OH made some bread pudding today using up dried wholemeal bread. Soaked bread in water for an hour, then squeezed out all excess, added dried out of date fruit, chopped walnuts, chopped dried figs, brown sugar that had hardened and 1 egg with a spot of milk. Cooked on low for 1hour. Lovely and nearly fat free.

What recipe did you use for cinnamon buns? I love them but can't find a recipe which suits me.

  • Old staples of flapjacks and lemon drizzle cake for snacks and lunchboxes, plus a banana cake for Sunday tea, not made before but went down well and good use of a couple of over-ripe bananas :).

    Keep Smiling :)
