    Hi

For a Corned Beef plate pie i use:

    8oz S/R Flour
    2oz Marg
    2oz Lard
    1/2 tsp salt
Enough iced water to bring all the above together.

1 200g tin of refridgerated corned beef
    2lb boiled potatoes
    Salt and black cracked pepper

I make the pastry whilst the potatoes boil and the recipe is enough to make a base and lid.

I cube the corned beef into a bowl and add the hot boiled potatoes and mash together this way with salt and cracked black pepper. I DONOT add any marg as the corned beef has enough fat content to make the mash ok.

I put in the preheated oven Gas 6 for 20 mins.
Thanks I now have a beautiful plate corn-beef pastie you have made a 63 year old man very happy

Last night I made another huge tray of flapjacks - as the first didn't last long! - and as the oven was on then made some garlic bread from scratch....yummy! Family well satisfied with their Sunday night snacks although not exactly what you might call a balanced meal :D
