Hiya, I'm kind of new around here (although been lurking!)
I've been baking a random version of Nigella's breakfast bars to take to work as a breakfast snack all next week.
I was in Lidl looking for some bargain ingredients so ended up making them with mixed dried fruit instead of cranberries, salted rather than unsalted peanuts and some sunflower seeds I picked up. They turned out yummy though!Savings target: £25000/£25000

Economy; careful management; providence. Whether you call it thrifty or frugality it all comes down to getting more for your money.0 -
Also baked some twinks today, have found I prefer them if I leave out bicarb so they go all flat and crispy. I use (and re-use!!) baking parchment to stop them sticking. Have been more popular at work since I started making them, if i don't have a batch on a Monday there are lots of disappointed faces!
Mmmm mince and onion pie is making my mouth water...might have to make one later in the week xStaring point of debt £23,343:mad:
