  • banana bread today in our house, but next time i think i will try banana cake instead of the bread as it is a bit stodgy and dark and not cakey enough for me lol!

    Yesterday, ds made a huge cherry and coconut cake to share with the rest of his 6th form mates with hot chocolate (I thought they went to school to learn:cool:) and this morning at 6am:eek: he was baking cupcakes as it is his tutors last day and she is going back to New zeland covered them in vanilla frosting and pink "sugar" .He has been making her a cake of some kind every week since he started his Alevels last year .What a creep:cool: but she is lovely and has been very helpful and supportive to him throughtout his Alevels.

    My first sour dough loaf (still cooling so I dunno what it's like) and vegan mincemeat-not really baking just put in low oven for 3 hours to prevent fermentation.

  • an apple crumble with some questionable grannies (smiths that is). very nice it was too.
  • I'm cooking spicy meatballs tonight. Kids will have it with spaghetti, I'll have mine with a healthy salad as I'm on celeb slim.
