No eggs, milk or money here so I have just made some shortbread with some slightly out of date butter! Plus a wee selection of chocolate dipped marshmallows with smartie tops for my DD to share with her friends tomorrow. I still have a lot of butter left to use as I don't want to bin in, any suggestions?Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I made a cake for mum's birthday earlier. The birthday was about 4 days ago but the dog ate the first cake so I made a new one.
And I also made fudge while I was at it, even though it's not baked XD0 -

Today I have made a tealoaf, some anzac biscuits & at the moment I have a chicken & a Gammon in the oven.Sometimes not moving backwards is as much an achievement as moving forwards is on other times. (originally posted by kidcat)

I am thinking of a vic.sponge Tuesday for my mother visiting, but it's a new fan oven and I've only ever cooked with gas before. Any suggestions for temperature/times?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Freeze it for next time
I had some bag-ends of fruit left from Christmas baking, so made Granny's fruit cake. It calls for 250g dried fruit, so I chopped some apricots, cherries, peel and made up with sultanas :j:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
