Wrapped an apple in tinfoil with some dates and spoon of museli and popped it in the oven for brekkie! Flatmate is heating the oven up for frozen pizza atm so I'll do some heavily improvised soda bread!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

I made some cookies the other day and OH wanted to make more while i was doing bread. I told him to mix the butter and sugaer and turned round to find him trying to do it with his hands :rotfl:I don't bother with weighing things like cookies and just told him to add flour until he could roll it... clearly wasn't enough flour as he's ended up with little circles of.. caramel? far too much butter and sugar and so sickly heat but deliciousLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0

Gooey chocolate brownies with White choc chips, homemade quiche and meatballs in tomato sauce. I'm pretty new to cooking from scratch so pretty chuffed with my efforts as everything turned out great and freezer is now packed with food from last weekends cooking too, so hopefully won't need to do a shop for a few weeks now :-)0

Whenever my late MIL made a Victoria sandwich/sponge cake she always 'creamed' together the butter and sugar with her hands - never used a wooden spoon or mixer. Warmth from her hands made it soft and easy to mix - it was how she was taught and she made good cakes !0

Wouldn't do to put too much Bailey's in Mmmmm
I use 3oz unsalted butter, 7 ounces of icing sugar and about 3 tablespoons of baileys.
Cream together the softened butter with the sieved icing sugar and as it starts to get dry slowly add the Baileys.
it is lush even if I say so myself, I created this one day when I didn't have any vanilla extract and have been making it ever since
Amaretto is also nice for a change0 -
Bread (well it is proving) and veggie lasagne for tea.....nothing sweet yet as mum sent us some biccies and eating them first!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I`ve made chocolate biscuit cake (obscenely calorific I should think!) and rock cakes. To go with gingerbread I made yesterday which all goes to son`s work and I get paid!:j I mark anything with nuts in and send copies of the ingredients just to make sure. Didnt realise when I started it six weeks ago that it would be so time consuming but hopefully I can get into more of a routine as I go on.0

I've been pretty productive today and made some marbled cupcakes, vanilla biscuits, smoked salmon and dill muffins and some chocolate and peanut sandwich biccies.
Got a gammon boiling away at the moment so that, roast parsnips, potatoes and cabbage for tea. If I can be bothered maybe a crumble for pud...0
