    Sending some of the flapjack to DD at uni for a surprise :T
    I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

  • My lovely boyf found a old jar of mincemeat lurking so made a mincemeat tart! Yum, especially swrled with some double cream left over in the fridge (rest is being frozen as ice cubes to make sure it doesnt get wasted :) )
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
    New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • in the end today i made

    banana bread, came out wonderful in the cake pan
    32 brownies
    24 chocolate buns with buttercream tops
    victoria sponge kinda rescued it with jam and buttercream, friend loved it (been having a rough time lately)

    and out casserole for dinner

    I made some cranberry muffins yesterday and a chicken and veg pie today for tea

    Leftover pastry made some jam tarts that were a disaster - never mind!


    Ooh I made cranberry muffins too + orange in them. Lemon tray bake and chocolate cake yesterday for the weekly cook fort son`s work.

    I've got half a pot of single cream that's gone off - unlike me, but it was behind something else in the fridge and I'd forgotten I'd opened it :o It's been covered in cling film, but it has been open over a week.

    Did I read on here that you can use off cream in scones? Or did I dream it? I hate throwing anything away, so if I can use it in scones tomorrow I may do that.

    Would it have to be fruit scones, as I normally only make cheese?

    Full of fruit and oats so all healthy :rotfl:

    Fridge Tray Bake/Cake thing

    Was going to try and make some twinks and then realised I have used all my oats for DD2's bath as she has chicken pox lol.
    2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.
