    By the way -

Why is it, that you Women are the bane of my f*cking life?!

I used to feel like this too. I thought my (now ex) wife was the problem.
However, I have no control over other people, so I am responsible for the way I act and react.
I now know that expectations of others can easily lead to resentments. I am by no means perfect, so why do I expect others to be?

    Hiya,

Loads of respect, and embarrassed shuffling in a British way..

I'm a 36 year old bloke, and I should be better at this!

Nearly 7 years is amazing by the way.

    Sim x

7 years is amazing. And I imagine that Heath480 has just done it one day at a time.

I used to think I should be better at not drinking. But I have the illness of alcoholism, and it wasn't just a lack of willpower. There is no secret to stopping drinking unfortunately. Different things work for different people.

I need meetings. They keep me sober. I enjoy them.

  • I'm embarressed :o to report that I was not AF yesterday. It was 10pm and my OH had just opened a 'good' (by that I mean not a Sainsbury's 3 for £10) bottle of wine. I thought "if I don't have a glass now I won't get any of it". The silly thing is that I didn't enjoy it at all (I don't have a sophisticated palate :o). I still intend to do my 4 days this week just Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday instead.
So WBF and sparkles no HUFFS to report today:(
