    I wanted to cut down or stop drinking with all the will in the world, but it never happened for me.
    I believe alcoholism is an illness. If I have other illnesses, I get help from my doctor etc, I don't try and beat them by myself.
    Why should I not receive help with my alcoholism?
    In addition, the people that help me recover from the illness have all GOT the illness. They are the experts on this illness - I would be foolish not to listen to their wisdom.
