WBF, I have really little idea what number of AFDs I'm on now - more than two but less than 11...
....
I've looked at your posts since the end of March. You posted being AF 1/4, not AF on 6/4 and then back on the wagon 7/4 & 8/4. So that sounds like 3 up to Thursday? How did this weekend go, any more on Fri Sat or Sun?
G'night, sleep tight.0 -
Hi all,
I'm feeling so down and hopeless about things.
Ended up going on a 2 day bender, and drinking Friday and Saturday :-/
I got my a*se to an AA meeting Saturday lunchtime.
Told them I don't know how they do it.. and I don't.
Im angry, and jealous of the fact that they can stay sober.. and I can't.
Not healthy.
Need a job, and don't know where to start.
Night night folks,
Leigh xx0 -
Hi Leigh
Sorry to hear you are feeling down tonight but well done on attending a meeting on the Saturday. That is something that I have not had the courage to do and try not to think of what other people are capable of doing.
I get down sometimes when I know people who I work with are on better money than me but at the end of the day it does not effect how I live my life so I try not to worry too much.
Hope things look better in the morning and dont beat yourself up about the little blip. You are not the first that has happened too and you wont be the last
Been there myself
Take care0 -

thank you so much for the comments on my post and the welcome.
I was feeling down as OH had been drinking since 1pm and had then fallen asleep. He had had 5 days prior to that with no drinking and we worked out that it was the first time in 18 years that he had gone that long with out a drink.
I drink as well, I probably have half a bottle of red wine every night, maybe a few beers sometimes as well. Its OH that I'm really worried about although i know I need to cut down too. We went out the other weekend and he was dancing with DD, he was so drunk he fell on her, shse is 9 and is now aware of when Daddy is drunk, she was telling him...I think the worse bit..well there are two...one was that the look on peoples faces as they walked past, it was awful..the main one is that DD is never going to forget that is she?? We had had a lovely day and it just totally spoilt it. Just to say, she wasn't hurt when he fell on her, they were on grass but it doesnt really change what happened does it...
to be fair, OH then didnt have a drink for 4 days after that, something he has never done and finially admited that its getting out of hand. He is an all or nothing person I think, he cannot just have one can of beer and leave it..... we will see what happens this week, I have hidden all the beer and wine leftover from yesterdayWIN £2008 in 2008 £1836.31 2009 wins - £91!!! 2010 wins in Oz $ 6170.... wins 2011 aprox $2000

Also YellowMonkey... lol about the upside down bit, we really are... the Moon is the wrongway round when we look at it down here!! and that when I sober!!
I am from England, we moved over here just over a year ago, I think the drinking has got worse with the stress of emigrating tbhWIN £2008 in 2008 £1836.31 2009 wins - £91!!! 2010 wins in Oz $ 6170.... wins 2011 aprox $2000

Morning Liuhut
Hard as it sounds he is going to have to WANT to give up. It seems as if he is aware of the consequences that his drinking is having through the eyes of your DD and he did stop for 4 days. I know when I was smoking everyone was telling me to stop but I only managed it when the penny dropped for me and me alone.
Difficult one and I do not have the answer but I hope things work out OK.
Hope you dont mind but what is the time in Melbourne ATM ?0 -

It always sounds so exciting moving to another Country and starting a new life0 -
Its 10.45am Monday morning, we just changed our clocks so we are 9 hours in front now...makes it a Bit easier to Skype people back home!
Yeah I agree, he has managed 4 days and then 5 which I was very impressed with, I did the same which I was pleased about as if I've had a stressful day, I reach for the red wine!
I think I'm just going to have to try to be the one that stays dry and hope that he will do the same, I did have a small glass of red wine last night but it was DD's birthday and I had a big party, felt I needed it!
