Luihut, welcome. YM is right that there's no set amount for drinking too much but there's no way your OH could go on drinking like that without a health hazard. Do stick around, this thread is great for support and ideas whatever your plans (cutting down/giving up).

Afternoon all!

How are we all?? Took OH to the Gadget Show Live at the NEC yesterday. Piglet stayed with my Mum and Dad overnight so me and OH had a night away in a travel Inn! Whilst it was nice to get away, the day did have its moments.

I bought the show tickets and paid for the Travel Inn as an anniversary present to my OH. I told him all I wanted was for him to put enough money by so we could go for a really nice meal in the evening. Then yesterday, as we were getting ready to go he told me he was rather short on money so was a Toby carvery ok. I was floored and ultimately very upset. Now I know a Toby Carvery is fine but I can't believe he was so short-sighted and didn't plan for it. It was meant to be his anniversary present to me!:(

My lovely Mum had given us some vouchers for Hungry Horse which we had said we would use to take his kids out for a meal. I changed that and we used them last night. And over dinner we had a really long, good talk about things that have been upsetting me lately...including his complete inability to save for anything. Think we got some things sorted. However, as I felt stressed and tired, I did succumb to a bottle of wine. Felt extremely annoyed with myself afterwards. Heavy head this morning. Back on that wagon today though. And MUST learn to take the Living Sober book with me if I go away!!

Hi MissP, sorry you're night away didn't turn out as well as planned. Personally I love pigging out (:o) at Toby carvery but, I agree, it's hardly what you expect for a special occasion meal. At least you cleared the air a bit. It's important not to keep things to yourself and let them upset you. Well done on jumping straight back on the wagon.

I am feeling a very down Budgie today, I think its because I have just filled out an online form re: my council tax as I want to claim the single occupier's discount. It has made me feel sad..................

I am also trying to sort out my bt bill as they have overcharged me and want to credit my next bill in 3 months. Oh and my water meter, my bill is going upto just over £50 a month DD :eek:

My water meter is at the end of the cul de sac and all the tags are missing so I don't know which on is which, and its set 3 foot in the ground too? So I have emailed them also.

Sorry to moan, I don't have worries to some, but I still have all the bills to pay even though Mr Budgie has moved out, and if we don't work things out, I will have to sell my home.

11 for me please WBF

Busy and very productive day. Very chuffed. Terrible cough thou and wondering how am I going to run tomorrow from nursery to work but don't really have choice as would need to walk it anyway and don't really have time for that.

Need to go and get my piggies in, they have been out first time since winter. I hope it will be nice weather tomorrow as well so that my other lot of piggies can go out too (have only one run and can't put them all in at the same time as the boys would fight)
