The challenge starts at midnight tonight!

Most of the house has been cleaned in super quick time this morning leaving a small amount for later on. Just waiting for the another load of washing to finish then off into the garden to listen to the footie while gardening

A lovely day here - I'm proper craving some choccie - however determined to have a NSD today.

Better have a root around in the freezer for a treat later on if there are any!

I had my last drink on the 25th of the month
Molly Polly had her last drink on the 6th of the month

You don't have to stop on the first to stop. No time like the present.

My alcoholism told me that I could always stop tomorrow, next week, next month, year, etc
It lied to me. It was always in the future that I thought I'd be able to stop
I now know that my alcoholism told me these things to keep me drinking.
Eventually I took some action and decided to stop today. For I only needed to not drink for 24 hours. That's how I cope with sobriety - one foot in front of the other, one day at a time.

With Graeme on this one. My last drink was on the 4th of the month. Attaching any particular significance to the first of the month just confused the issue and gave it a bigger label.

There is never a "good time" really. Sometimes the time is just simply NOW. Before it's too late for you to achieve what you want to achieve.

I see people in various walks of life and wonder "if you could have turned back the clock and revisited soe of the choices you made, knowing the outcomes, would you have still made those choices?"

your future can start now. There really is no time like the present. If we are not careful part of us will wait for all the stars to align, a sunny day and goodness knows what else before we do what we know in our hearts needs to be done.

For me the 4th was THE day. I'd had enough.

    take care

My last drink was the day that I was admitted to hospital as an emergency patient and given a 50% chance of survival.

    Afternoon...:D

You are not alone and even if you live in upside down land you are more than welcome ;):D

How much is too much ??? If anyone feels they are drinking too much then the quantity is, I feel, irrelevant.

Stick around and hopefully we can all be of some help.

Ange...All the best for tomorrow. x x You will be fine ;)

    Wise words there Bis

not alone but, that is a lot and scarily similar....

simply put,"a lot" is the amount that is drunk that makes others (and the drinker) unhappy.

there's not much else to say on that. The important part is being able to see the effects your drinking has on others. Alcohol makes that vision very difficult sometimes.
