No idea - but he follows me everywhere and chatters to me in a gentle voice - not quite sure what it all means :rotfl::rotfl:

BHB, you too can have 8 days sober, you just gotta want it enough, thats what the wise ones on here keep telling me and looks like my couple of years posting on here is starting to get through, all one day at a time. Good luck sweetheart x

I think you just hit the nail on the head. Now I have cut down a bit, I'm not 100% sure that I do want to stop completely.

Suppose I have to though, to see if that's just the addiction talking or whether I AM actually happy ticking along with the RDA ??

Now doing about 3-4 units during the week and double that at weekends. I know thats still high but a big improvement on what it was.

    BHB
    xx

Everyone's different Andy and it's all trial and error. You will get there, you just need to find a way to suit you.

I have a true addicts personality and it didn't matter how many times or how many people told me to take it a day at a time, it didn't sink in, till now. Not saying it's easy, far from it, but 'slightly' more manageable. Plus now I've a week behind me it makes me stronger. And surprisingly, the sober days do rack up quite quickly! I'm not saying it's forever and not becoming complacent, just taking it as it comes. xx

:hello:Just popping in to try to keep up (gobby lot!)

Welcome lamarsi, I'm sure fay will pick up your post as she's going to be scoring in February. I'll get back to you later fay with thoughts on my own target for next month.

Loved the pics BHB, thank you.

Jo, Clerk to the Governors is (put very briefly) providing admin support to the governing body which would probably require some evening working. If your office manager doesn't do it then maybe your current governing body buy someone in just for that job.

Hope everyone having a great Saturday. It's cold here, no snow but lovely and bright.

    Hi Maman,

No my office manager doesn't do the clerking, we have an outside lady that does it. Funny thing is that lady is a very good friend of mine as her kids go to the same school as me and we are both on the PTA committe of our kids school! I would ask her to help me with the application but she wouldn't keep her gob shut :rotfl:

I'm trying to keep an open mind about all the stuff they've listed on this job description. I know from doing adverts in the past that they are souped up quite a bit, i.e. on this job description one of the things says...

'Order, monitor and manage office stock and resources within an agreed budget'

In other words, get on to Viking and order a box of pens :rotfl:

Ah, I've got nothing to lose..
