Mr HB is here & messing with my chilli recipe (no, that's not a euphemism )

Thought about what to do for a final weekend Ewok, so to speak, as there is a lack of different Ewoks. So I decided that we needed something that showed the strength it takes to achieve that level of AF-ness...or, at least, that's my excuse :cool:

So, although it was Darth Vader that said it, I think this shows that "The AF resisting Force is strong in this one" I believe that Yoda would be impressed with that Jedi mind tricks that it takes to resist alcohol for 28 days so...

Evening all!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...you're a real gobby lot! Just had about 50 squillion pages to catch up on.

I'm feeling very irritable and ratty tonight. Piglet still poorly and I think OH and I are coming down with it too. Just great. OH is trying to get Piglet to sleep now. Heartily fed up with 2010 and it ain't even the end of January yet!!:rotfl:

Hi Miss P, sorry to hear you're having a bad night, mine started off that way but improved in leaps and bounds, hope yours does to xx

After the sweet and sour prawn balls with rice and ribs, I've just had a choklit muffin and now about to embark on a box of Mr Kip's jam tarts, they're exceedingly good you know :drool:

Sounds nice...wish I was there:(. Me and OH had a curry which piglet threw up in the middle of (not actually IN the curry but whilst we were eating it!!). I feel the syrup sponge pudding calling me.....................................

hey all :hello:

with regarding to the drinking in 20s thing - I always had blackouts from the first time I got drunk and always drank to get drunk (what was the point otherwise??!). It was only when it got to the point that it was affecting everyone and eveything around me did I realise it was a problem - so I'm grateful that was when I was 30 only. That makes it sound like that was ages ago lol when I've only just turned 31!! Nearing the 8 month sober mark now - can't believe it!!

Anyhoo, just my experience of it!!

Trying not to eat any more tonight - I could see the vet eyeing up my stomach and wondering if I was preggers - er, no, just fat!!

Well done Jo :T Keep up the good work.

All is well in the animal kingdom. Mrs BHB has just hatched out some ducklings in the kitchen ..... not by sitting on them herself you understand :rotfl:. I'm just waiting for her to teach them to swim in the bath. ....... It was the en-suite sink last time :rotfl:.

Can't wait until half term to get out in the polytunnel and plant some seeds .

The pigs have 5 weeks left then its bacon sandwiches every day for months

Wood cutting tomorrow as the shed is nearly empty .... no rest for the wicked. :mad:

Glad you are doing well ... will get there myself one day soon I hope:o

BHB, you too can have 8 days sober, you just gotta want it enough, thats what the wise ones on here keep telling me and looks like my couple of years posting on here is starting to get through, all one day at a time. Good luck sweetheart x

lol - I have put on a *ahem* tad bit of weight which seems to have settled mainly on my stomach giving me an attractive 6 months pregnant look - already one person has asked me if I am, to which I replied, no, just fat and when I took Timmy to the vets earlier I could see she was trying to work out if it was baby or fat and whether to ask me!!!! :rotfl:

Evening all,great Jo to hear how well you are doing.:T:T:T:T:T:T,it does get better and the Alcohol bells no longer ring.at the moment it is chocolate bells ha ha,I have eaten 6 M&S walnut whips tonight and dont even feel sick so that is progress.
