  • Hi guys  Not AF tonight, but thought I'd still pop in to say good luck to those of you who are trying to be. I'm only having a couple, want a clear head tomorrow :)

    Evening all

I am not feeling very well so I came home from work early and went to sleep. Just caught up with the thread, some very funny and positive posts!!

For my part I drank infrequently when I was 14-16 when I could get away with it, then for the next five years or so just a couple of drinks a few times a week because my "social life" revolved around a pub at the time but often it would be diet Coke or J20. Then I had a year of craziness when I was 21 after breaking up with my boyfriend, and I drank to excess most nights out in bars etc. That cooled when I met my husband but I think the seed had been sown because he seemed to spend most of our relationship trying to stop me drinking!! I know my drinking by then was often due to tiredness and unhappiness.

I'm on 11 days AF now, more than 50% I suppose. For February I will make my target 14 days - that's every other day AF which I am sure I can manage...

I am planning a very quiet weekend, in fact if I can get away with not leaving the flat then I won't bother. I fancy hibernating for a couple of days! Even the telly feels like an intrusion this evening *shrug*

Right I'm off to have a lurk around and find out about this HALT thing, it sounds interesting

    Bye for now :D
