  • Hi everyone....afraid I caved in to the call of the red last night. On the plus side it was only 9% wine and I had less than half a bottle (see how I am trying to find excuses to make it sound better) however after I had drank it I thought why did I just do that? I bust a gut at the gym in the morning then have gone and poured this toxic waste done my throat (along with a family size bag of Walkers sensations) and ended up going to bed feeling queasy and very  with myself!

However today is a new day and I will not let this drag me down. I am even more determined to stay A/F tonite and tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else who is trying to have an AF weekend!

Shelley - hugs dude - we've all been there - remember its small steps remember old habits die hard - its perfectly normal - well done on only half a bottle, and at a lower % - being on here is a great help! Well done for posting!

Today is a new day - if I were you I'd either bin the wine, pour it down the sink - or freeze it into ice-cubes for cooking - you're not needing it over the weekend - might take away the temptation.

just a thought - I can't have an open bottle in the house - but then again I don't have any bottles in the house, but that's just my way of managing me.

  • Thanks Faye, think I will go and free it for cooking right away or the temptation to finish the bottle may very well prove to be irrisistable!

  • Well done shelly - my resolve always falters in the early evening - never mind the intentions I had previously - go you!

I've just updated my diary - I fear I need a lie down now - its snow central here!

    The bells are clanging...

I feel like pavlov's dog....how can I stop salivating once the bell rings?

  • Eat sommat and drink a cuppa - keep yourself full (I'm trying this anyway) then you won't listen to those bells

Another monster row with BT (again) - unfortunately I think they're the only reliable provider here - am now going to enquire more.
