    I took the plunge
    I jumped in
I dived in and told everyone........

I'm not going, no no no
    I'm not going!

    What they said, why not?
I'm a sad old lame boring cow I told them
and in reply ahh that's a shame

and it was all over and done with :D in a nice way too! Maybe I built it up more in my head than in reality ;)

Would be a laugh but very heavy drinking related so need to give it a miss and I know others aren't so keen too but can't be bothered with a faff of an hour's travel both ways so here we go on an FAFF

Back laters for a dvd watching and curry for tea and declaring an AFF while craving wine - won't give in won't give in won't give in........ and I've already eaten a wispa and fancy another one :o

Must remember the AF feeling which is nice on a Sat morning when I wake up!

I have my own take on this. I don't know the ages of most on thios thread but I think it may be relevant. I think that when you are young and alcohol is seen as part of your social scene it is easier to deny any 'problem' The younger ones you mention may just be 5 or 10 years away from realising that they may indeed have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. In my 20's i was a total !!!!head but as most of this drinking took place in pubs and clubs where most of the other people you are mixing with are also on a bender you can justify your own drinking more...along the lines of 'everyone else is doing it so why shouldn't i' It's only, for me, that my lifestyle changed due to being a mum that my drinking became more in the spotlight. Drinking alone at home as opposed to being out. I think while you are young and don't have any responsibility it is easier to write of your drinking as 'having a good time' It would be interesting to see if any other people on here were party animals before they had their kids or have found that their drinking habits started later in life. I'm aware that all sounds a bit garbled...hope it kind of makes sense.

Completely with you. In my early twenties it was work hard, play hard. It was easy to slip from there into drinking home to relax, when upset, as reward, any excuse really.

    Hi Little_h and welcome2.gif

No BF this weekend :( and DD's Godmother has cancelled our visit to her again . I am starting to think that she doesn't really want to see us. Been running - I was flying on Wednesday but today it was tough going.

Car parked in garage DD will go to bed promptly so I aint going out again tonight so that makes it 29 for me please HB.
