Hi,
Glad to hear you are feeling better Sparkles. What is this new cream?
Eczema on my legs is very bad at the moment. It goes away in summer.
HB - yes you are a very tired bear!
A big welcome to newbies. You have come to the right place. Lots of interesting posts today. Its wonderful how peeps can be so honest on here.
Sorry you are so down in the dumps Fay. Where do you get fish and chips in the middle of nowhere I ask!
Grateful as ever for your posts GC and RA. Lots of people are doing really
well with their AFness. I'm still on the waiting list for counselling with no idea of when that might happen. I think I really do want to go to an AA meeting but for some reason am SO scared. At the same time, I'm scared of the damage alcohol will cause yet I'm stuck in the familiar habits and must move on to make the change. This to me may be where you cross a line from heavy drinking to alcoholism. You know logically that you drink so much you must be damaging yourself but when you drink - you stop caring. Sorry didn't mean to get so heavy but feeling a bit down at the moment.
Best wishes to all

for me drinking came a big part of me when my mum and dad marriage fell apart my sis went to live abroad and other stuff happened i felt drinking took me away from everything to my little world.i havent had a drink for 25 days now i just felt one day this is silly why am i doing this i am not a good role model to my children.there is so much help on here. for me i am trying to give up drink for good (hopeing i can do it) cutting down doesnt work for me i always went back to drinking all the time.since i havent had a drink ive gone back to the gym and having a good look at my life and changing thing for the better.

hope everything works out for you there is always someone on here if you need to talk
Castri that is brilliant.
Alcohol is a drug it just happens to be legal and socially acceptable.
If you were to read this thread and substitute the word heroin for alchohol and 'hit' for the word drink it will put a different slant on it.
'all my friends are heavy drinkers' becomes 'all my friends are smackheads'
Birds of a feather stick together. My ex partner was a very heavy drinker. As i was a heavy drinker too it didn't matter. Now I wouldn't find a heavy drinker 'good enough' for me. That is a huge thing for me to say as I've suffered from low self esteem for years. Now I don't feel the need to try and rescue anyone....except myself.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -
Hey DB
Huge hugs - people go along to meetings, get help etc for many many reasons - but you're right when you still drink and you're damaging yourself you do need to get an extra helping hand. All the folks who have talked about being along to a meeting do say good things about it - have a look at some online stuff as well - I'll try and PM you some links tomorrow - I live in a small place and was hesistant to 'go public' locally - so I've looked into some online stuff xx
Please be nice to yourself - I hope you find what you need for yourself soon xx
PS thanks for the kind words and we've several takeaway type places here - but the fish and chips are definitely amazing!!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Thanks so much Fay. Online stuff would be great I hope I may still eventually be able to pluck my courage up and go to a meeting.
PBT and Castri - both doing great.

Hello,
Survived the teacher meeting, DD still very funny about her "injuries" - sadly she hasn't got my tomboy gene where badly scraped knees were just ignored while speed stayed the same. I have a lot of "background stress" going on and I know I can change that if I can do stuff that needs doing. Why oh why can't I apply myself to get it all sorted. Even my relationship to BF is suffering as I am avoiding him as I know he would ask me what have I got done and I don't want to say: nothing but can't lie either.
Going to bed now and will get up early and do 2 things before going to work. Night night.
Shaggy 10 for me please."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
