  • Morning all ....

    Fedupski.....I would say option 2 as well. I did it and I felt great about it! And if you think about it, why should you leave after an hour, just because you're not drinking? You can stay longer, socialise and then go home to your cuppa...and feel fabulous waking without a hangover in the morning!:D

    Lurks...I've had another carp night with Piglet ....but your posts this morning have made me laugh out loud. Thank you!:T

    HB...good luck with the council today. 27 for me please!

    Just been to doctors with Piglet. He's still quite poorly so wanted him checked over. Doctor says his chest is clear, glands are fine and throat is fine. So its seems to be a virus which we will have to just sit through. Poor little Piglet.

    I can't believe I've nearly made it through January AF!! I have to admit I'm quite chuffed with myself. I've noticed a few things that are prob a direct result of me being AF:

    * My skin is clearer
    * I'm sleeping like a log (when poorly piglet lets me **rolls eyes**)
    * Despite it being a 6 week month, I still have money in my bank! (not a lot but much better than I would normally have expected it to be!)
    * I've not had a single argument with OH - in fact, we're getting on rather well!
    * I'm generally more placid.

    Makes me wonder why I ever drink in the first place?? I hope it continues.

    Miss P

    Morning all
    Sorry crashed and burned infront of a dvd last night with DD after a marathon of kids to clubs, shopping, blethering in shopping to real folks (and blethering to texters taunting me with their shopping treats - you know who you are JO!) and needed some time out for a serious DD chat about how much she's doing (too much - Ive had to put a stripeysock mummy foot down, nicely after much discussion and she's agreed) and also about options as we're choosing them soon as well. The other child has had his prelims and so far 4/8 we've heard he's passed and some quite well.

    You see would I have missed the signs if I'd had a few glasses of wine and reverted into my 'me' state, probably. Clear heads do have many positives.

    Phew! Cue a late night and a creamcrackered girl today - but I like the tiredness of field work. (although leaving a digital SLR in the field - bad move) had to hunt about for it last night in the dark whilst horizontal sleet decided to attack me.

    Hugs to all

    Welcome to anyone new

    Well done Miss P on being nice to yourself and recognising different behaviour

    ETA morning sir lurks and jo and chums ! (whoops I didn't really not say morning to either of you)

    Those books I'd ordered came yesterday - will read some of them over the weekend (mainly about children of alcoholics - ta RA for pointing them out) inbetween trying to wrestle with our big mower as it needs a service.

    HB - hunny a huge hug - your towers aren't being very bear friendly at the moment.

    Fedupandsparkles - I'm with many here hunny - I'd go and drive - after a couple of soft drinks you can just slope off home, I've found often if I leave without really announcing it then its easier - I just say i've something early on the next day and have to drive - won't risk my licence. Most folks these days realise that a really big night out means you're often not really legal to drive the next day until lunchtime.

    But if you don't feel up to being so brave at the moment - I'd seriously think about not going. I'd be too easily swayed after a couple and end up staying out all night, normally in my case the best of intentions go badly. (but that's just me)

    PS another bodybalance for me tonight. :)
    Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there. :beer:
    Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

    Thanks MissP, for posting the list of positives. Good motivation! Hope Piglet improves soon.

    My priority in thinking of sparkles dilemma was that she should definitely go (we all need a bit of fun and company) but if it was me I would prefer the train to driving. Obviously, if she does drive then if all is going well (not too much ribbing) she can stay as long as she chooses.

    fay, great to hear the children doing so well.

    Have a good day all.
