Morning Faffers
Achieved an AF Saturday :A So
18 FAFFs for me please Fay.
Focusing on my diet is helping me be deaf to the bells. I've realised I need to drop a further 300 calories a day if I want to lose weight quicker.:D Last night I sat in and watched a DVD and my evening meal wasn't a take-away but carrot battons and low calorie dips:o
Have a great day. Viva La FAFF!
ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

I really want this job - my maternity cover job I'm doing at the moment will finish in summer, so it would be fantastic timing. I have to do some sort of presentation test - I'll phone them on Monday and ask them a bit more about that
Keeping everything crossed for you :T

No pressure if you don't want any - but if you fancy a sneaky surprise in the post let me know - well done
Fay you are sooooo kind :A but I couldn't wear long socks or eat chocolate:eek: But I really appreciate the thought.
Also I keep my target quite low so I can achieve it, so it doesn't really seem fair LOL.What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Sparkles, how are you feeling today? Hope the bug was short-lived. You have been so positive over the past couple of weeks, I've really enjoyed reading your postsThank you for pointing out that Friday and Saturday nights are the same as any other....never realised that (no, I'm not being sarcastic!). I think it's because at work all week we say 'nearly friday' as though it's something so exciting and then when it gets here it feels as though you need to do something to celebrate it! OH constantly moans at me when I go to bed normal time at the weekend, I say that he's the one that gets to lay in and I've got to get up normal time with the kids (though saying that, I went to bed extra early last night with solitaire on the DS, 9.30pm and still didn't wake up till 9am this morning
)
Maman....you don't watch Eastenders....  *confused* :rotfl:
DB, veg curry & spicy sausages? That sounds like quite a mix. Was it homemade? Where you get the sausages from?
Mookie, I've never made twinks hobnobs though I know they are very popular across every board on the forum :rotfl:. Do they taste similar to the shop bought hobnobs cos I don't like them, too dry. Maybe I'll give them a go to stick in the kid's lunchboxes, get me eh, pies and hob nobs :rotfl:
Caz, so glad you've come back I was worried about you and about what happened when your GF came home. She sounds so supportive, you are very lucky to have someone in your life that is willing to help you so much (though it must be nice for her to be chauffered around :rotfl:). Well done for not drinking, please keep on posting as it does help xx
Fay, never mind an AF blanket, you can make us all stripey socks :rotfl:
PIR, congratulations for last night, though please please do not put the words 'feeling fab' and 'go to the gym' in the same sentence again:rotfl: xx
Castri, one whole week, well doneYou must be starting to feel some benefits now?
Shaggy, I hope you ate more than carrot battons, you won't lose any weight that way cos your body will hold on to every bit of fat it can! 3 square (proper) healthy meals a dayA girl at work wanted to lose a couple of stone for her engagement so she just stopped eating. She wouldn't listen to me when I said that she will be thin for her engagement, but it's very likely she'll be even bigger than she is now for the wedding. Her body went on to survival mode, took a long time to lose the last bit cos her body didn't want to lose it as it was getting malnourished. After engagement she started eating again and although she was eating normal food, not all cream cakes and crisps, her body held on to every bit of fat and calorie it could in case of a future malnourishment. She now needs to lose 3 stone for the wedding *rolleyes* and she can't understand why or how she managed to put on a vast amount of weight in such a small amount of time.
I used to be 4 stone heavier just over 8 years ago and went to WW where I did manage to lose the lot and have kept it off. It's all about lifestyle change, as I said to Shaggy, cutting back on eating for a while has quitea detrimental effect to your body, your body goes into panic mode as pounds are shed. That is why it needs to be a life style change that is done gradually but stays constant. I used to eat take aways (mainly cos at the time I could afford it and I was very lazy), probably 3 times a week, I ate lots of convenience food etc. I changed by cooking everything myself from scratch, no more take aways (or at least very rarely, maybe once every couple of months). I haven't become anymore active and definately don't use that 'gym' word. Just cut out the combination of high calories and saturated fats.
I have just realised that this is the approach I need to take with drinking. (I know I've been told over and over again, particularly by GC) I need a lifestyle change, it can be that simple.
What a shocking revelation I've just had and it's only just occurred to me  :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Morning peeps.
Not much to say - just reporting in. Having a CAFF weekend not a FAFF weekend. Aim to be FAFFing again Monday
Feeling very relaxed and positive about the whole alcohol thing now.... Guess its because the pressure is off and I'm doing it MY way which feels much more comfortable....... :j
Have a great Sunday everyone.
