Delia, eat your heart out! Well done jo, I can see more dishes coming on. Did the family enjoy?

If your socks are beyond repair Lurky, I think mine look as if I'm learning to knit and dropping stitches all over the place.

Fay, I think you should look at this house with an open mind but try not to compromise on the things that matter. I was wondering how big this house is because I think you need space. Four years is a long time with teenagers in the house (and DH to be?). I live in a house which (although not huge) has lots of rooms and it's just me and OH now but I'm the sort of person who needs my own space and so does he. Is it difficult to find accommodation on Orkney?

:T:T Welldone to castri and hollie, getting FAFF days under your belt. Onwards and upwards!

40SM, sorry you had a bad night with your pup. I'm a bit headachey today too but at least it's not alcohol induced!

See you all later. I'm having a quick browse then I've things to do.
  • Thanks for the reminder about condensed soup as I have a tin languishing in the cupboard that is imploring me to use it up.

I have a final tin of tuna to use up too, which I am not keen on at all and once it's gone, it's gone, never to be replaced again or be seduced by bargain offers in the supermarkets!

ooooh - see if you can track down Jamie's tuna pasta dish (summat like Jools' fave Saturday pasta or similar). The BEST thing to do with a tin of tuna...... :)

:DNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh :D

Hey maman - Its difficult with pets it would seem................although peedie is so well um peedie I can't see why there's a problem?

The house is a 'chalet' style house - 3 double bedrooms, box room, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen, diningroom/living room open plan and a down stairs utility, shower room and a huge office room. Outside there's a garage and a private drive

    So that bit works

However - minisucle garden, no open fire

Heating is electric - which I can source green - so that's probably better than oil heating which is the only alternative

I'm struggling with NO garden and NO open fire - the plan looks quite nice and the rooms are big (My bedroom would even have a balcony) I may be able to garden through work when I find a new job in Dec or if I start up gardening business again (?)

I have a chimena so I can set fire to things in the garden I suppose

Maman you're right about space - there's potentially lots of that with this house (£500 a month) price isn't bad

Its just we're so 'outdoors' that i am not sure how I'll cope with an 'average to small' garden - there is a field behind which I might enquire about to rent maybe? OH suggested this - he's worried about the lack of garden

+ open plan nice wooden house big enough for us all
+ right place for both schools
+ folks are nice and want a long lease
    + garage
    + small village

    - no wood fire
    - no greenhouse
    - neighbours
    - no garden
    - neighbours.......................

Had a couple of glasses on Friday which I was pleased about as I felt very in control for once. Unfortunately was way out of control on Saturday. Felt very ill on Sunday. Why do I do it????? As for the amount of crap I have eaten as well, I don't even want to think about it :(
