    It just answered me...

An alcohol tolerance can indicate that you drink too much
Regular over-drinking causes the body to develop a tolerance to alcohol. People with a tolerance are able to drink more without seeming to suffer. However, the body is still being damaged.
A tolerance for alcohol does not protect you from harm
In the long term, there will still be serious consequences for your health and wellbeing, your career prospects, finances and relationships.

Re the alcohol time machine....this is what it said about me...
Disastrous hangover – when it comes: You're still stinking drunk! Later on today, you can look forward to: severe dehydration, serious stomach upset (read retching and killer heartburn), memory loss, depressed mood and diarrhoea. No work for you today – no anything apart from lying in a heap and groaning a lot. Did we mention you probably passed out somewhere? Lucky you didn't choke to death on your own vomit – plenty do. You won't be feeling too clever tomorrow either.

I think I got the same result as you Jo. It wasn't a good result anyway for me. I did nearly choke to death on my vomit when I was younger but luckily there was someone in the room with me.

(On that note, I'm not AF today.*roll eyes*:o)

    Good evening,

I actually almost convinced myself to come home, pick up purse and go to the shop to buy some wine. And this would be fine as it wouldn't be my usual tipple. Not because it has been particularly bad day as it hasn't but just because it would be nice to have a drink and the taste of it. Anyway too tired now and trying to get DD to bed so no going back. That means no 10 please Fay.

I have found this past weekend and this week really hard. I know it is because I now have to deal with ex again. So despite having relatively easily been AF for a long time the bells can just come clanging back. :(

On a positive note I had a tough run today but afterwards felt great. Except that my knees are hurting now. Perhaps tough run and then dog walking up steep hills are a bit too much for my old knees. Perhaps hot bath will help.

Jo: I have everything crossed for you!

  • Hi All

Missed posting the last few days - was feeling a bit bleak about drinking over weekend.. Anyway tonight is AF for me - think it is 4 for me now. Am determined to hit my target of 20 this month.

Hugs to anyone who is struggling - I certainly know I have been. Off to have bath in minute - when the lovely Phil is finished on C4!

    Target for MAD - 24:)

I'm FAFFing tonight with a hot chocolate.

Nipped out from work to browse Mr A and treat myself to a bottle of pink AF fizz and a bargain box of thorntons for £3 for the weekend.

Pleased about the AF muscadet to feel less tempted and cope better this weekend being AF. Replace the real stuff with pretend non A stuff and cope better with the A and L from HALT

Forgot to say I'm on 8 FAFF's now
