Sir William - don't beat yourself up. Treat it as a roundabout and drive straight on (or something like that). You are doing FAR better than you originally planned, so be pleased, not annoyed

  • Just popping in to say Hi to all you lovely peeps. Thanks for the link to the Time Machine thingamejig Fay,did it as I was drinking at end of my Drinking:eek:.I know for sure I would not still be here if I had carried on,it took many years for my Alcoholism to progress,it is very cunning and very patient.

Good luck Jo with job application and more importantly keep up being Alcohol free:T.

Having to give up eating M&S walnut whips straight from the freezer, was eating one Sunday and my front crown fell out!visit to the dentist yesterday and he says I really need a new one, anyway it is stuck back in ,thank goodness.,toothless old crone goes nowhere near what I looked like!
Freezing cold here and a howling wind, off to do my weekly trawl of the charity shops.

Stay strong everyone keep up the faffing,I did it so anyone can.
    Sobriety delivers everything Alcohol promised.

Alcohol free since May 23rd 2003.:D

    Afternoon,

Hope you are all well and happy. I've been quietly FAFFing here and am now on 9FAFF days please Fay -I'm counting today as I won't be drinking tonight - I'm at a meeting and then home for another 'Being Human' - we're catching up with the first series on DVD.

I'm trying to get eveything ready for going away for half term on Friday and then it'll be interesting to seehow I go on over the holidays - I'll be trying to FAFF as much as possible!

Good luck with your application Jo.
    Trying to keep in budget.

  • Hi

Managed to faff Sunday and Monday which I think takes me up to 5 FAFFs ??

Unfortunately felt really cheesed off yesterday and before I knew I had polished off a whole bottle of white. :(

Woke up about 4.00 this morning with stomach cramps and couldn't get back to sleep for ages...so feel really crap and out of it this morning.
Forced myself to go to aweight watchers meeting this morning as trying to do it alone at home is clearly not working....reckon paying to go to classes might make me stick to points plan (and as wine has sooo many points I will hopefully not go there)!

Not sure who originally posted thread to alcohol machine but thanks, it does make you stop and think - this in particular applies to me -

"But it's not just time spent boozing, it's all the time wasted recovering in bed, it's all the times you didn't have the energy, all the times hangovers put you in a bad mood."

Sadly this is oh so true.

Well I am going out with a friend tonight for a meal and I have volunteered to drive so will definately FAFF tonight!! :D

Well done to everyone else so far, you are all doing great :T :T
  • Hello chaps

A very quick one to say hi and well done for those faffing, caffing and those back on wagon central today

BHB _ YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BUY BOOZE LATER

I'm in the field with DS and we're having fun - home for a quick lunch and cuppa

Then back out into the field

Its nice just spending a bit of time with him and no distractions :)

Re the alcohol time machine....this is what it said about me...

Disastrous hangover – when it comes: You're still stinking drunk! Later on today, you can look forward to: severe dehydration, serious stomach upset (read retching and killer heartburn), memory loss, depressed mood and diarrhoea. No work for you today – no anything apart from lying in a heap and groaning a lot. Did we mention you probably passed out somewhere? Lucky you didn't choke to death on your own vomit – plenty do. You won't be feeling too clever tomorrow either.

    :o

I'm never actually this bad at all, I presume that's not a good sign *shruggy*
