That seems to be very prevalent.
I know for me I could sleep with a few drinks (I found a few drinks would shut my head up long enough to allow me to sleep), but it wouldn't be great sleep and I'd be sluggish the next day. Alcohol seemed to not let my brain listen to my body. Thus when I put down the drink, I felt tired for a long time (because I was) and there was no alcohol to interrupt that signal.
After a while, the energy levels come right back!!0 -
BHB - you know I will slip a wee something in the post for you later might not be today though - well done!! :T The first socks are leaving the building - is Mrs BHB partaking in sockdom as well?
Thanks Fay :j:D
Mrs BHB says she would like to go for 8 FAFFing days too.
A joint effort.... She has done 4 too, I think.

Hi everyone, I'm up to 5/14 days now. Overdid it on one of my drinking days but going well apart from that one time.0

Hi everyone! So far I have 8/28 days FAFF. It is getting harder, not easier to walk past the wine aisle in Sainsburys.
I'm managing to resist, mainly because I'm stubborn.

Try (if you can) shopping at a different time of day
I don't like shopping at night as the wine aisle calls
In the morning or at lunchtime - it doesn't bother me
Small change which worked for me
Off to catch up in a bit - post updates later tonight
Well done everyone CAFFing and FAFFing
Tonight Mathew I will be FAFFing at bodybalance and then whilst watching a bit of TV later on

I guess it'd be inappropriate to say stop faffing about it & get on with it
:rotfl:
I was thinking just the same thing - Jo - good luck with it tonight
Everythign is crossed for you - and it will be mega crossed for body balance
I have found something for you to play with
its an 'alcohol time machine'
For both men and women - you select your gender then pick your drinks for the night (If you aren't faffing) - it gives you units and then you can forward on to the next day and it gives you the effects - its a bit of fun with a serious message - I put a bottle of wine in (9.8 units ) and forwarded to see the results.......)
The link should work - HERE
Give it a go.......(if you're brave enough!!!!!)
The morning after is bad enough....:(
Then have a look at the link which says if you keep drinking this is what you will look like/what will happen...................Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

hi all - so much to catch up on!!
9 day FAFF this month - as I don't intend to drink it feels a bit strange saying, but it's nice to see it ticking by
I seem to be coming out of the 'I have no life if I don't drink' couple of weeks again now - guess I'll just get these blips. Seeing a woman who look 9 months pregnant - skinny all over, just big bump, to then find out it was her swollen liver reminded me just how far I could go down the road of alcoholism and I don't want that at all, so that's helped me sharpen my mind again.
the ex is drinking again - I didn't know but his step mum rang me at work today frantic so I had to go round to his to check and yes, all curtains drawn, key in lock, no answer. So he's drinking again. I pray to God that he doesn't kill himself this time.

Hello,
Got a call to work to go pick up DD as she had upset tummy. Can't take her in tomorrow either as they want to make sure she is in clear.
Will be no 9 for me please Fay as I still have that blimming head ache and also there are not bells big enough to get me out of the house tonight. I shall be FAFFing while watching Super Nanny and updating my spreadsheets."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

friend came round last night asked if i fancied a bottle of wine, just said no thanks, no big deal thought she'd think it was strange but she said nothing, so maybe it's a bigger deal in my head...
I have this battle in my head too - it has taken me ages to realise it's all in my mind. Afterall I never say anything negative to people who don't drink so why would they to me!I have found something for you to play with

Hmm, that was an unpleasant reminder of the damage alcohol can cause. I put in the most I would drink on a night out, knowing it was more than usual however thinking all the same it wasn't that bad - who was I kidding with those results!
