  • Hi Fay,

Yes I guess you're right, I have cut right back which is what I said I wanted to do. I just think I should have more AFDs to give my body a break, that's all. But eating out a lot over the last few days (this never happens) hasn't helped either.

Anyway, lots of days left in Feb :)

Indeed - there are many days - you're doing brilliantly :T so don't focus on the negatives - and enjoy your time off - not many of us fare too well during holidays and times off

Enjoy and have fun - we'll keep prodding you when you're back in normal time :)

Great work on the cutting down, I often think that's the hardest bit - I'm not much good at moderation. xx

I have my boots essentials for my face now - don't really need coconut milk for that :)

    How's bearland today?

    :D

    Made me laugh! :p

Bearland is very happy under the reign of a new peedie ;)

Sadly I'm still a somewhat snuffly bear so will be having an early night :(

  • Ah I hope new peedie is behaving

Peedie no 1 is a naughty peedie today

He's turned into a mole and is digging up my willow field

I think he's having an identity crisis.............................sorry to hear you're not well again

    Poor you. xxx

My eyes are sore so I'm going to take them out and then returneth looking a bit like Penfold

    * (taking out my contact lens not actual eye removal - that would be very silly).

  • Hmm, I don't seem to have struggled too much with cutting down, I think my body just shouted ENOUGH as I feel sickly-tired quite easily when I drink now.

Anyway there's no alcohol in the house except whiskey and I have no disposable income until 26th now (if I'm a good girl :A), so not much choice really! If I'm tempted to buy any, I must remind myself that if I'm good then on the 26th I can go into NatWest and ask them to get rid of my overdraft facility. :D That is gonna be such a good feeling, I've had it since I went to uni in 2005!
  • Sorry guys - fell off the wagon on Sat and Sun due to feeling the L and A out of HALT

Need to work on this - not too much consumed but really felt guilty on Sunday for drinking on Sat and then had another one on Sun for some reason

Can't believe how much I beat myself up about this drinking on 2 days. Anyway a new dawn and a new day today making it AF no problems

Let's try one day at a time for this week and not aim too high too soon

    That's what floats my boat.
I can go without a drink for 24 hrs. That's all I need to do. I can then drink tomorrow if I want to, but I'll make that decision tomorrow. That's why there are no targets for me (apart from one day at a time)

The L and the A are the most difficult ones to deal with in HALT.
If hungry you can eat, if tired you can sleep, but it is not as easy to get rid of loneliness and anger. They are feelings. Hunger and tiredness are just physiological.
I had to change myself and take action so I wouldn't be lonely or tired. It took (and still takes) lots of effort, but so far it means that I haven't relapsed, and it means that 24 hrs at a time means years without a drink

    Hey FPTwee

how about looking at it like this

How much have you cut back your units over the past couple weeks............its not just about the FAFFing

Its about cutting down - is that CAFFing? or CARFing Cutting down alcohol reducing feb?

:) well done on a small glass of wine - :)

See sparkles you're also doing great

Hmmmm spreadsheet - must update that

Just sorted FB photos I think.......?

Bingo - any reduction is good and should be commended.

I've had more colds etc in the last few months than I've had in the last several years! Which is odd, as I'm generally a lot healthier than I used to me *shrug*

That's great. If you can stay within the governments RDAs and (importantly) still be happy then fantastic.
