    Ignore it all...

Unless in the very rare event they actually take you to court and you receive genuine court papers stamped by the court
  • Firstly thanks for the advice, but whats the likely hood of getting offical court papers from them? i am a worrier..lol
  • About as likely as Lord Lucan delivering them himself riding Shergar.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

The post above yours says 'very rare',l the other 5000+ posts saying ignore are evidence of how rare it is.

!!!!!! stop worrying [or else pay up and then stop worrrying]

Hi there - I have a bit of a tricky one!

I work for a large company & have a company car (lease-hire). I recieved an email yesterday from my work accounts dept saying I owed £80 for a parking fine which the lease hire company had paid on my behalf.

I have several issues with this (fine supposedly £70 but reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days ... but then I am charged £80 ... I think this was because I apparantly "Ignored" the initial letter, so the leasehire company slapped on a £25 + VAT charge for paying it on my behalf)

My employers have now paid the leasehire company, & I now apparantly owe them.

However looking at it - it is from the G24 company. Having heard about these kind of scams I looked into it. So .... I would have ignored it ... but now everyone else is involved too ... what to do????

    Any help appreciated!

  • I got a 'bill' from the G24 outfit for apparently overstaying my 'free' welcome at retail park. Not knowing about how all this malarky works I decided to search it all out on this 'ere t'internet. That was when I stumbled upon this site. What a revelation this place is, a mine of information. All this came about when it was decided to do the big Christmas shop for presents. 'Thinking' the car park was free due to lack of ticket machines a relaxed? mission ensued.
There is about 15 - 20 stores on the park, and even a pizza hut which we used. Though looking back it was probably that which put us over.
I am going to go back to this park to 'check' signage and to see if any of the stores have warnings of impending cash loss, I know there are no tannoy anouncements as it would have brought it to our attention. I certainly didn't see any large signs, but like I said when think the parking is free you dont really look for owt else!. I know this much though I wont be shopping at that park again.
