New Nectar Double Rewards Watch! Got a Nectar Point Stash? Must Read!

I just rang Nectar's 'helpline' (ahem!) on the geographical number 020 7209 6355 (thanks to https://www.saynoto0870.com) with my complaint and suggest that others do the same.
Perhaps then they will get the message that customers should not expect to have to wade through small print to avail of an offer that doesn't just say 'get it while you can' etc in its main promotional material.
There's also a freephone number for Nectar (0800 402402) listed on saynoto0870 which says to select British Petroleum - option one - but I didn't try that.
The woman said she was sorry that I had missed out but that the T&Cs on the Nectar site made clear that everything bought there is subject to availability.
We had to agree to differ on whether this was fair and honest.
She said the calls are recorded for feedback purposes so someone might take note of the complaint.
So everyone - ring up and give off to them!0 -
Can't believe this.
I thought I had till tomorrow to decide on what Cd I wanted. They didn't make it clear at all that there was limited stock and the Cd's would run out.
I'm fuming now.
I will complain for all the good it will do.
That's if I can ever get through as the No's engaged.
Or try Emailing nectar_support@custhelp.com
or helpline@nectar.com
Again for all the good it will do.0 -
PaleScene wrote:No, the t&cs are frustrating because they say subject to availability but don't really advise that there is a limit ...
Bah. And just to add insult there is no way to email the Nectar cs to whinge, you have to spend to call.
"Thank you for your email regarding Nectar's Summer of Rewards CD WOW offer.
Firstly, I would like to apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment that may have been caused.
The Terms and Conditions that state 'Offer subject to availability' refer to the number of CDs specified for Nectar's Summer of Rewards promotion. This does not relate to stock advertised in the general CD WOW Rewards section of https://www.nectar.com.
You can use your Nectar points to purchase goods from CD WOW at the regular advertised price. Simply click on 'Spend Points' and 'CDs' to see the full list of CDs, Games and DVDs available from CD WOW.
At https://www.nectar.com you can search for local participating companies and browse our wide range of rewards. You can also check your balance and update any of your personal details or request an additional card or cards.

So, there we go. I'd asked about the availability (surely CD Wow haven't run out of CDs!) etc. I'm frustrated too, but hey. HTH.0 -
Thanks for the email address emmsa (which I had no luck finding!).
I've fired off my stiffly polite moan - which at least gives me some feeling of getting it off my chest
I shall now await my copy of the email from Laura CS...Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -
Complained to helpline@nectar.com - the address is well hidden!
It's blatant misrepresentation as they're still advertising the CD's, and the 'subject to availability' bit doesn't specifically tell you it's the offer - the T&C's read as though it's CD's subject to availability.
'Laura' has been busy writing standard emails about this!!!
Thank you for your email regarding Nectar's Summer of Rewards CD WOW offer.
Firstly, I would like to apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment
that may have been caused.
Unfortunately, we have now sold out of the CD WOW! 50% off CD's offer. The
CD WOW 50% offer was subject to availability, which refers to the number of
CDs specified for Nectar's Summer of Rewards promotion. This does not
relate to stock advertised in the general CD WOW Rewards section of www
.nectar.com. You can use your Nectar points to purchase goods from CD WOW
at the regular advertised price. Simply click on 'Spend Points' and 'CDs'
to see the full list of CDs, Games and DVDs available from CD WOW.
In addition to this, there are lots of other great offers still available
during our Summer Chill Out Week and Summer of Rewards offers coming in the
next five weeks. Simply visit https://www.nectar.com for more information, where
you can also register to 'find out first' about the great Summer offers
coming up.
At https://www.nectar.com you can search for local participating companies and
browse our wide range of rewards. You can also check your balance and
update any of your personal details or request an additional card or cards.

This is a ridiculous situation, obviously it had only paid for a limited number of CDs to be at the promotional price - very poor managment by Nectar - especially as it hadn't notified in the main promotion material that this was limited stock.
Nectar are a con anyway so no surprise really.MSE_Martin wrote:29 July - 4 August
