I went back on the Thursday and the manager was not there. The cashier who served me on the Saturday was there and said she couldn't do anything without her managers permission but if I liked I could call in on the following day. I said I couldn't as I was going on holidays. She just shrugged her shoulders.

I took the vouchers with me to Glasgow and 2 lovely helpful assistants, although I think 1 was the manager, changed them for me for Adams vouchers with no problems.

This week Adams head office put a note in the stores weekly newsletter to say that Gift vouchers can be bought with Nectar vouchers, this newsletter goes to all stores, the manager should read it and should pass it to the staff, obviously this is not being done in some cases which is not helpful for some of you.

oh my god i didnt know i could buy gift vouchers. i will try to do this this weekend rather than spend over £120 on adams clothes in a few weeks. i already spent over £50 in clothes which i can only hope the baby can fit into!!

does anyone know if ilford are allowing gift vouchers to be bought with nectar vouchers? which store in central london is the best bet? how do i email nectar to clarify this point and print an email for gobby SAs?

I have to say i find your post quite offensive, there is absolutely no need to refer to sales asssistants as being "GOBBY" when you dont even know them. You seem to assume that this is how it will be when you get there, it just shows what sort of person you are, one of those who goes in armed for an argument, well i hope you come to my Adams one day as no one has to put up with people like you and with that attitude i would not serve you and would ask you to leave as i would have every right to. I hope one of your children becomes a shop assistant one day and someone refers to them as being "GOBBY" but then they probably will be if they are a miniature of you!

Adams has 25% off everything in store at mo and there is still quite a good sale rack and it includes this as well.
Yes, I noticed this today - I think it lasts until Monday :j

A brilliant deal, especially when I paid with my vouchers as well :D
  • Got my Nectar vouchers changed for £90 of Adams voucher without to much problems, the sales assistant had to clear it with her manager though as she didnt know whether it can be done.

Just to clarify for you the 25% events last day is Sunday. There has been no word of it being extended beyond Sunday although it has happened in the past. If it is then i will post to let you know but it is definately due to end close of trade Sunday. HTH:)

Also a great offer for those of you with school age children, the schoolwear is Buy One Get One Half Price and you get 25% off that as well! And don`t forget to ask for your £75 center parks voucher if your total to pay is over £20!!:)
