Nectar isn't the best scheme by far. But i always fill up with diesel there....tesco is too far out of my way. So it makes sense to collect points at the same time.

Also as I'm pregnant at the moment I'm very tempted to convert all my points (or a very sizeable chunk) into Adams vouchers come the special offer week.

Anyone know if these vouchers have useby dates on them?

Apparently 31/10/06. I've a PM for you, if you clear out some of the dead wood from your stored messages!

  • Tried to order the Nectar summer wine for 6000 point this afternoon, first of all told the offer was incorrect (a mistake in Nectars Advertisement). Second time I tried I was told the offer had sold out. Two expensive phone calls with nothing to show for it.

The wine is still advertised today, they are rushing to get this taken off, but it means re-designing the flash etc, so call up and say they are advertising at 6000 for the wine offer, and it is false advertising and you are entitled to the correct price of 6000 points! worth a try

I have no idea.....but I want to know this too. I use Adams with my vouchers too (hate paying full price for childrens clothes) (for anything really!!).
Pity they only take the vouchers as I keep on forgetting to ask for them from Sainsburys ready for a spree.

I work at Adams and some leaflets came in about this today, i will try to find out how the offer works and will post it on here if i do. Just as a reminder though, Nectar vouchers cannot be collected from Sainsbury anymore, you have to ring the Nectar line or order them online. HTH:)

Having just found out I am 2 months pregnant (OH MY GOD!!! as we thought we couldn't have kids - long story) I am interested in the Adams vouchers so if/when anyone knows the details I would be thrilled. Only have 6000 points but to steal a phrase "every little helps"

How do we think "50% more value" for the Adams for Kids offer will translate into real terms?

If 250 Nectar points currently translates to one £5 voucher, do you think (or better still does anybody know!), if they will translate to £7.50's worth of vouchers. I would have thought it rather unlikely - as Adams exchange rate is already the best there is - but it does say "50% more value"!!

Or does it mean that one £5 Nectar voucher buys £7.50's worth of goods - which is of course the same thing!

    Ideas anyone?

Reading the info from the terms and conditions, these will be special vouchers that have a more limited expiry than usual. Normally, Adams Nectar vouchers last for 12 months from issue but these offer vouchers will expire on 31/10/06.

For 500 points you will get a voucher worth £7.50 at Adams, rather than the usual £5 voucher. :)

Just to confirm, if you order your Nectar vouchers for Adams between 19th-25th August from either the Nectar hotline - 08704 100 100 or from the Nectar website you will receive special Nectar vouchers that are worth 50% more than usual to spend at Adams, they WILL be worth 7.50 for every 500 points redeemed. These vouchers will be valid to spend instore until 31st October. Even though the expiry date is shorter than usual, you can buy Adams gift vouchers with other vouchers (i,e Nectar) so this would retain the value of them if you can`t find anything to spend them on there and then and Adams gift vouchers do not expire so can be used whenever. In the event they put a clause on the vouchers saying you cant buy Adams vouchers with them, which is unlikely, you can buy anything with your vouchers and exchange later when you find something you want, keep your receipt though to show your purchase price, or you can take credit vouchers which again have no expiry date. Don`t forget to only order your Adams Nectar vouchers on the specified date, not before as then you will only get the usual Nectar vouchers worth 5.00 HTH:)
