Philips XTREME - came top in an Autoexpress test of halogen car headlight bulbs."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

They're all virtually the same. On my last car I wired the headlight switch into a relay, and powered the bulbs straight from the battery, for more brightness. This may not work on modern cars, however.0

You usually get what you pay for, but the Philips are good, look at

the Halfords Extra Bright ones are white(ish) and are only £25 a bulb with a constant buy one get one free.
not quite what your asking for, but good all the same.0 -
I second the Phillips XTREME. Best bulbs on the market (or at least the best I've ever tried).
You can pick them up very cheaply on Ebay.0 -

£25 a bulb! What a rip even on BOGOF.
I get mine off e-bay, don't use Philips Xtremes as they are difficult to get in H1 size but Osram Nightbreakers, £12 for 2 from a company in Devon called Watt Bulb0
