Anyone know of any nice bright white headlight bulbs?

Philips XTREME - came top in an Autoexpress test of halogen car headlight bulbs.

They're all virtually the same. On my last car I wired the headlight switch into a relay, and powered the bulbs straight from the battery, for more brightness. This may not work on modern cars, however.

the Halfords Extra Bright ones are white(ish) and are only £25 a bulb with a constant buy one get one free.

I second the Phillips XTREME. Best bulbs on the market (or at least the best I've ever tried).

You can pick them up very cheaply on Ebay.

Problem with cheap ones on ebay is they may be copies.

They sell the Philips ones as well i think.

Poundland sell H1 and H4 bulbs in a pack of two! Might be worth it if you're getting rid of the car anyway.

£25 a bulb! :eek: What a rip even on BOGOF.

I get mine off e-bay, don't use Philips Xtremes as they are difficult to get in H1 size but Osram Nightbreakers, £12 for 2 from a company in Devon called Watt Bulb
