I see what you say about it being public info - but its on a register, I don't know about you but I haven't gone through looking up everyone I know!! It's for banks to check out etc. The OR should have been more discreet in his conversation that's all I'm saying - I am still very cross!!

Totally agree with you, I would be bloody annoyed as well, I would give them a ring and complain about it.

I guess I really don't see it as being a lie - it's simply not telling them MY business, I am in my 30ies and haven't had any cash from them since I was at Uni - some 15years ago.... It really is nothing to do with them, they live miles away and worry enough as it is (about the silliest of things).

Welshpony, I totally understand your point of view on this (it was a careless choice of words on my behalf, sorry).

As I mentioned before, I do find it strange that the OR would discuss it with other people though.

In the last 2 years I've lost my mum, my house and my car and as of 11:41am today I am officially bankrupt..(ok I admit it wasn't anywhere near as terrifying an ordeal as I was imagining)..the thing I'm worrying about now is the interview with the OR..I was told that I will receive a pack through the post within 7-10 days which has forms to sign and return etc along with 'THE DATE' for my interview...

Someone please tell me that I am going to come out the other side of this nightmare in one piece.
  • Onward - thanks for that - I called the guy up today and spoke to him about it - he sounded really sorry about his poor judgement - I didn't go mad with him or anything just simply explained the situation he had put me in. He agreed to change the time of the interview (in case my Mum decides to call!!) so wish me luck for it.....

Stockportlass - I really hope things will get better for you from now on, I certainly feel much better for it, interview still to go, but seriously how bad can that be to compare with the phone ringing all the time and teh endless letters for payment?!! Good luck with it all and keep us posted.
