  • Hi all,

Would you add me to the feb club, been lurking for a while and reading all the fantastic advice offered.

Got the o/r interview within the next few days, I think out of the whole process this is the one that worries me , iv'e got nothing to hide but it still makes for the odd sleepless night.

So come on Feb Club folks...give us an update :)

For me...it's all gone very, very quiet. I've had a letter from the OR (about two weeks ago) to say they have handed over all asset/debt stuff to a Trustee, but that Trustee has not contacted me yet, and the letter says that I should no longer contact the OR with any questions on these matters.

I have still heard absolutely nothing about an IPA...it has never been mentioned, and to be honest, I haven't a clue when it will be. My Income/expenditure stuff on my BR forms showed a slight shortfall in income (£40), but other than the OR asking one question about it in the interview, nothing else has been said. I'm still waiting for someone (OR or Trustee) to bring up the matter and/or ask for proof of inc/ex.

The Trustee can only have two interests - my old business (which has no assets), and my home (which has little equity)...but I'm not going to start the ball rolling by asking them anything.

I got a final demand bill from BT for £50ish (I changed my phone provider before BR, but had a bill left over from BT). I called BT to say that I could not pay the bill as it was included in my BR and they should have received a letter from the OR. The guy said yes they had, but they needed a copy of my order! Even though they have the OR letter on file, they cannot deal with it until they receive the BR order from me. The world of big corporations remains a mystery to me at times.

On a good note, I got a letter from the council saying they had closed my old council tax account due to it being in the BR, and opened me a new one for this financial year. They then sent me a bill under the old number, including the debt from the previous year :rotfl:

I called them today, as I can't pay my April installment (now overdue) as they have not sent a bill on the new account. The lady I spoke to was lovely, and said they had realised that changing my account number this close to the start of the financial year was tight, so they are starting my payments from May, and to throw the old bill away. It's refreshing (after the BT debacle) to see common sense applied :)

It feels very odd having little post and even fewer phone calls. Sometimes I get home from work to see no messages on the answering machine, and for a moment I feel disappointed, but then I recall the sick panic of just a few months ago...and enjoy seeing that zero on the display ;)

I hope the rest of you are feeling better than two months ago too...

Hi Onward, glad its all going well for you. All quiet for me at the moment, haven't got anything from the OR since my telephone interview, but very happy to be 9 weeks in - only 43 to go!!

Managed to open a savings account with Nat West - Reserve, online banking and a debit card which is great - I can put any money for clothes etc or anything that's left over in there which is very useful.

It's a nice feeling that the phone has stopped ringing, no more letters, all in all things are so much better.... Not that I want to promote BR as being an easy option, it was definitely the right things for me, so far so good.

Typically...I tempted fate by saying twice this week that the Trustee has not contacted me....just got home from work to find a letter :(

It seems to be the same stuff that the OR sent - mentioning that I can only keep certain things as they deem it necessary to me, including vehicles. I presume that they can't override the decision by the OR to exempt my vehicle?

They've also convened a meeting of creditors (in a few weeks time) and asked me to complete an I&E statement to determine if I should have an IPA.

    Meh!
