  • Hi - I received my papers from CCCS at lunchtime when I went home it was behind the door! Yay! It consists of one covering letter, asking me to send wage slips etc and latest statements from creditors. I dont have statements as they are all done online - if I print off an online balance or latest ststement will this be OK? Also what about the overdrat? Do I just give them the accoutn number of the bank? The overdraft will change by the time I have swapped everything over, its currently about £400 overdrawn but by next week will probably be more like £2000 - what do I do about this?

I havent changed any direct debits yet apart from cancelled all the ones to the creditors who are going on the DMP. Tomorrow I am going to arrange to get my wage, child beneefit and child tax credit put into the new TSB account. then I need to get all the direct debuits transferred over, mortgage etc.

one questin, howe do I know when the DMP starts? It doesnt actually say anywhere in the correspondence I have received - do I assume it will be 1st April or will it be as soon as 1st March?

    Thanks again guys!
  • Losing - Pretty sure you'll be 1st of April now.
  • Losing - I had similar problem with banking online. I rang them and they said printed off the internet sites is fine. So with the overdraft I printed an overall "account summary" page and hilighted the overdraft. I then put in a covering letter explaining that this would be x amount by the time the plan kicked in. Basically then need proof of the amounts and the account numbers and printouts from online are fine.

You find out when the DMP starts when they receive all your paperwork back but as newbeginning says - it will prob be 1st April.

Once you return your pack you will get a full welcome pack detailing what to do when creditors call, your website log on details so you can see what is going on with all your creditors and information about how to send money to cccs etc.

    Hope this helps

  • Hi All

How this thread keeps growing is unbelievable!
Welcome newbies, can't remember who asked but you are able to keep even high value cars, I've got a 58 plate which I need for work, my car must be under 3 years old and CCCS said this was Ok as I need it to produce a large slice of money every month.
Good News:T actually its nearly unbelievable, Lloyds have accepted our DMP:T:T:T, they wont reduce interest to 0% but are reducing to 0.482% per month, I think that is around 6% annually and it was 26.9% so its got to be an improvement! can't believe it after all the phone calls and awkwardness. It just proves it can be done and Lloyds can be reasonable! Hope the fish are still frying and I'm glad you've got your pack Lsing, you are really on your way now. And I like Jeddy's version of the trolley puzzle better than ours, sounds a lot more fun!! One last thing, when you are all cancelling DDs be very careful, don't cancel until you have a written confirmation from the company with the new bank details on it. Despite doing all this, Talk Talk still managed to mess ours up and then cut our broadband off this morning. I can assure you I have given them a compllete earful, have been reinstated and they are giving me a fiver for my blood pressure, where do they get these guys???:eek:

  • Hi Candy

Go on, press that button!!! The co-opcashminder is good and there is an associated saver account which I use to keep my stash in and can transfer money immediately, helps with budgeting. Co op ser everything up really quickly and the woman on the phone was lovely even tho she had to ask about "financial troubles" lol!!

Cheers just had a look online looks okay only thing is there is no branch near where I live and I get my child support from my ex via cheque (he wont set up a standing order ) looks like if I pay cheque in via post office it wont clear in time from payday to when my DD's are all due on the 1st of the month
  • hi Candy

I have stuck a couple of cheques in the account through the PO, they took around 3 days to show on the account, I was quite impressed because I have dealt with main banks who have taken longer. I don't know how it works, but perhaps you could ask in the PO. You know if you get a cheque marked wages, you can draw on it right away, how does that work cos this is like your benefit or wages? Sorry I'm knackered and starting to gibber!!!!

OK so should I put 1st April on the "Notification of DMP" letter to my creditors? I thought they would have said when it starts but they didn't so I will assume 1st April - Oh dear APRIL FOOL! lol.

I plan to basically take some money now from the natwest OD to pay for groceries etc for the next couple of weeks and also to put some into the new TSB for any direct debits that come out, as I explained before they all come out at diferent times of the month so it could get a little confusing with the change over. I need to make sure I have some available funds in BOTH accounts until everything is switched over in case of any delays etc. I dont want my mortgage or secured loan etc not to be paid. However latest statements may not necessarily show that I am maxed up as it is as of the last statement - I know since then more money has gone on the credit cards so the print out may not show the true pictire - for example I spent on 2 credit cards in the last three weeks which are not yet showing on the statement as it only shows last months statement and balance outstanding from then - if that makes sense?

I dont have time to sort this out until weekend when I plan to blitz my filing cabinet and get all the paperwork out in order to ring up the people to change the direct debits and get everything in order for the change over EEEK! THis really feels like it is happening now and I may be able to sort my life out.

If it wasnt for this forum I would have done nothing, so thanks you guys.

Finally i may get some sleep tonight without tears or tossing and turning - as i am finally making some steps to sort out my mess. xxx
  • well done losing, it will be Ok, eventually!!!!
