ps
to ask this but what are the stars about?
ps glad to see your debt will now be gone so much sooner!
I think the stars are linked to your post count, probably to show the more experienced MSE'ers, or maybe just to look pretty :rotfl: !!
I'm completely amazed that just an extra 200 a month into the DMP brings the term down that much! I mean 200 is a lot of money, but its not an unachievable amount of money IYSWIM? I'm a very happy True todayPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

Does anyone have BC's collections number that don't put me through to the hellish call centre?
Hiya!
I'm not sure if you can ask to be defaulted, but I wouldn't worry - they won't hang around to get the default. I can't help on a phone number I'm afraidPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Morning!
In MAJOR freak out mode today :eek::eek:
Still no letters, but missed calls from Capital One (home) and HSBC have just called my mobile. I've ignored both but am now in total panic!!:eek:
HSBC are my largest creditor and ex-current account, I sent all my DMP info and token payments to my local branch as opposed to main address....not sure if this was a good idea or not??
I feel sick.:(

Vic don't panic my lovely, its ok - they're just reacting to your DMP info, which is what we need them to do. Its fine to send info to your local branch too, they'll forward it on to wherever it needs to go. Calm down hun, its all good, means its workingPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

Received a letter from Tesco Personal Loans who i owe 12k to, they have said they have issued account details and balances to CCCS, and await a response in 30 days with proposals from them, but are not prepared to stop interest and charges until this is received.
Shall i contact CCCS and pass on the message?
And i take it 30 days is a good sign that they wont hassle me too much, (missed payment in Feb, next payment due 05th March, but they should get 1st CCCS payment by 25th March).
Also i have had a letter from my mortgage lender to confirm my new bank details, and also to confirm they have set my DD date to the last day in the month, this is great for me, i get paid the last Thursday in the month, and my original direct debit date was 26th, so some months without the overdraft facility i wouldnt have been able to pay the mortgage on time in that month.
Apart from that all quiet, MBNA accepted, Halifax accepted (although they expect first payment in Feb, told them it is March, called CCCS and they said ignore), Tesco as above, Northern Rock no response, Next no response, Cahoot no response, and Lloyds TSB cant find the account?LBM - Jan'10

I'll send you mine when I've finished! DMP book club :rotfl:
Might just take you up on that one
To everyone stressing out, try not to worry. Its a long and bothersome time getting everything sorted, but you'll get there in the end. I wouldn't bother asking for a default. Just an extra hassel and Im sure like True said they'll probably do that at some point anyway.
Try not to get too hang up on not receiving acceptances either. I still havent got one from Egg, almost a month now since it all started. CCCS have the details and they'll send the money so as far as Im concerned thats that. Trust me, they wont send the money back! If you are worried about them not freezing interest and charges, get in touch with them. Unfortunately not all with stop the interest Im afraid.
Nonnynonny sounds like good news so far. I think the 30 days is quite typical, gives you a breather fom the calls. Im sure CCCS will be quite quick in sending the proposal letter to tesco, but theres no harm in checking with them to put your mind at ease. By the way BofS cant find my account either, guess I dont have to pay them then :rotfl:
VicB honestly try not to worry, Im sure everythin is in hand. If HSBC or any other creditor doesnt accept your DMP then CCCS will write and let you know, in the meantime sending you a big DFW :grouphug:
