Losing honey, hugs...the start is never easy - but please believe me when I say I wish I had £17 a week to live on
. Firstly, like someone said above, please ring CCCS and talk this through with them, they are the experts after all. Secondly, I got some gorgeous make up from Tesco, lovely new kinickers from Asda, I always buy whatever deoderant is on £1 a can (so I get a new "fragrance" every couple of weeks) and its all rolled into my grocery budget. I know its a bit boring trawling around the shops, but it really can pay off. My son grows like yours does, but instead of easter eggs, he has new school shoes from my Mum, bits and bobs from my Dad - because I have a huge divorced family, just like you! As for presents, it takes time, but try becoming a bit more creative? Charity shops, poundland, ebay - there are ways to make it all work I promise, it just takes time to get used to it. Take care xxx

I agree with the above. True is right. Just seeing what is on offer and buying it at the time. When I see toys/books at the cheap prices I buy ready for the parties up and coming. Most definately with the deodrants too. These all come out of my grocery budget too. We are lucky as we have a grocery shop in our village who is really competitive. I'm just finding my feet going around and getting the best deal. I used the big stores and buying everything and paying over the odds sometimes to as it was convienient. My daughters uniform for school is going to be made up from presents at Easter and birthday this year and probably years to come. Our family is more than happy to help in this way.
Group hugs:grouphug:allround this morning.

Page 3?? Was thinking of ditching the clothes, save a bit of money
Nothing new here, to a boring level. Still nothing for Barclaycard or Sainsbury Bank...it is getting a bit odd now, been 2 months since DMP letters went out. But I guess no news is good news!Paddle No 16

Our new account is all set up now - got the PINs yesterday so we can actually access our money, and the tax credits have started going into it. And they may be needed straight away - DS's favourite toy appears to have been lost at nursery, and he really struggled to sleep last night without it, so I may be popping into town at lunch to buy a new one - just what I needed!0
