Hi Gabriella
How's the weather, mil and dil are there on their hols and need a bit of warmish weather for their oldish bones? A very nice lady at RBS told me that I wasn't yet delinquent cos I have always previously made my payments, and it would take three months to become delinquent, never thought I want to be delinquent but apparently that is when they stop interest???More than Two Years in

Hi PDD I've just posted a new thread re RBS, do you mind me asking did they try to still take the loan payments by DD before your DMP got started?, not sure what they're going to do.0

It was credit cards and there were no DDs set up. But the Direct Debit guarantee won't allow them to take a payment if you have cancelled the DD. If they do take it, they have to give it back as it breaks the guarantee. You need to make sure that you have cancelled the DDs, they CAN'T reinstate them.
They could offset if you have money in another RBS account, but that is something different and you have moved everything to a "clean" bank where you have no debts, haven't you?
So as long as the DD is cancelled by you, your fine:T

Just saw your other post, it looks like the pre-run (banks do this a couple of days in advance of DDs to make sure the cash is available) has run and is shown on your account. The DD will fail now and they'll reject and charge you for the DD not being there. Alternatively they won't charge you because you cancelled the DD a couple of weeks ago and it is your right to be able to cancel DDs under the guarantee. I think they will just send you a letter saying that you cancelled the DD and what are you going to do about it. We deal with customer payments in my day job and this is my understanding of how that works, may be wrong but the DD guarantee is sacrosanct and very much on the side of the creditor. Hope this helpsMore than Two Years in

Hi weather isn't too bad, much warmer than back in the UK thats for sure. We haev these coptic winds here and they make things a little chilly.
RBS/ Credit management/Triton told me they've freezed my interest already which i was very very suprised at, i don't think the girl had any reason to lie unless she was being a divy and getting confused as i said i din't want to get into more arrears and be increasing the debt. She said
'don't worry your payment is coming off your balance now':T
i'm going to check at the end of the month.
Who knowwwwwwwss. personally as we part own RBS they should wipe all our debt. all in favour of devouringRBS like this - :EasterBun0 -
Thanks PDD that all makes sense:),the DD is definately showing as cancelled I was just worried that they could push the payment through and take us over the OD limit:(. Yes I've set up a bank account with the Co-op and have trans everything over, just waiting till all our payments are switched then I'll let RBS know;)
Thanks again:A0 -

Hi Everyone!
So much for the phone call free week last week - got home from work today to find a missed call from a very familiar 0800 number, I think it may have been Citi! They didn't ring back though thank goodness. Had a letter from Creation with another expenditure form to complete as I'd not completed a previous one, stating that if I didn't do it within 7 days etc............ Letter dated 1st March!!! Do they do this deliberatley?? Any way I'll just file it........thought it was too good to be true!
Skintflinto, Well done you!:j Your on the road now!
Oh well, another day tomorrow, hope the sun shines, I'm off to Poole working tomorrow - it's always nicer there in the sun!:)LBM Jan 2010

Morning All
Its lovely and sunny here, most unusual for the time of year, but I'm not complaining. Feel like tackling a few creditors to-day so may phone RBS to sort out their delinquency malarkey, I think they make it up as they go along.............
Have a lovely sunny day everyoneMore than Two Years in
