I have started feeling the same as you ljm, my daughters new bed arrived today (ordered just before LBM) and got to pay for it (£250) somehow got to find the money..........arrrgggghhh! So chin up, we'll all get thru this together.
I'll just add that about half of my debt is with MBNA so that looks hopeful, if we can get some sort of lump sum. Do I have to do it through CCCS? What about the other creditors then?Paddle no. 12
DMP start 1st April

That good to know, I just want to be free from my debts so I can start saving and set a good example to my kids, they are still young enough to undo the consumerism damage.
Hi Ljm, I think we are setting a good example to our children by doing a dmp, working within a proper budget, only buying what we need, saving for things etc, we've had a serious attitude overhall, well i have, dh is some way behind.
Dd who was a bit of a consumer monster (since birth really, but 7 now-which I did make worse buying treats etc when feeling guilty about not being with her when i was at work) has got the idea since january. Seen something she wants, knows how much she's got, worked out how many weeks pocket money it is, that there's a chance a tooth might fall out and .... knows we need to look for a money off voucher online or look to see if there's one that needs a new home on ebay!!!
Don't know enough about f&fs to offer any thoughts...except I think we'll be looking into cca etc when the dust settles with dmp and f&fs are a distant dreamfor us no where to get the lump sum for them so will be saving pennies to built the up!.....
Nataz oooh lucky you in lovely northumberland...I'll take it with the extra kiddiwinks...I believe once you get past three together they start looking after each other....well that's what someone told me who had 9:eek:children.
Naughtmummy...how's it going, did you get ithrough to the insurance last night. What a pain in the...was it bad damage...bumped and touched doesn't sound too bad, I ripped a hole in the side of our car door by reversing slowly through a gateway.
Hope everyone has a sunny Tuesday!
Dd's day started well, two party invitations:eek: they will be wanting presents then- :(mmm wonder if'll they'll like handcrafted papermached vases....?DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

You're getting beyond my talents now PDD- while I think I could cause damage with a crochet hook and a knitting needle- I fear you may be sadly disappointed with the decorative items I could create:D I'll give it a go though!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20

Talking about party invites, my DD isnt even 3 yet and shes had 5 since Sept. Shes gone to one, just dont see the point when they're that young. Cheaper to fly to Venice in August with Ryanair!! £100 per adult...not that I should be looking...groan
We went to the Isle of Mull one year, beautiful and not too expensive - we had the kids with us as they wanted to see 'Balamory', so we stayed in a youth hostel there which was right on the harbour front alongside the best B & Bs....
We've done Mull too- really lovely! We were 1 min late for the check in for the cal mac ferry and that was it ! Wait for the next one...if you are lucky! But oh the lies about where josie jump, archie and edie where. We stayed in a b&b next to josie jump's house...which was great value for a family room that took all 5 of us!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Morning All, :hello:
Well, I'm on here, having a coffee and a Wacko bar and building myself up to phoning the CCCS...have a sick feeling in my tum... I know they are really nice but I'm feeling a bit wobbly today as until the end of March I have no idea how much money will be coming in so still can't do an SOA but some creditors are getting impatient... and it's like, what can I do, I have to wait for my employers to make decisions, then see if my hours increase, how far I will have to travel, how my childcare will be affected, ....it's not just the creditors, it's knowing for bills/food etc what will be coming in..in limbo, been ok ish until today.:(
Best get it over with.....
Ahh Tedsd:grouphug:hope call goes well hun, you've been waiting so long, its bound to get to you, esp when its out of your hands, march is stomping along, so you'll soon know. I'be read so many times about people sending tokens of £1 for ages, chin up, big hugs and fingers crossed. Let us know xxDMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Aw Ted
You need to be strong, you're doing everything you could possibly be doing. I know its gone on for a longer time, but just think, if you've got RBS stuff, you'll be instantly delinquent!!!
Phone CCCS, they're lovely and will give good advice.More than Two Years in
