Thanks Candypop, if I can pay it on the 10th, I may manage to start the DMP in May, gives me another week...
I'm sure that will be fine. My first payment is due on 1st april i moved some DD's to come out later in the month to be sure I had enough funds cleared. I could have left them if I had know about the 10th option. Not heard from any creditors yet suppose its still early days next payment on cc is due 15th so maybe after that...... oh I scared:(0 -
Hi guys
It's all go here! CCCS counsellor rang this afternoon and we are going ahead with a DMP hopefully starting in May. We've got an appointment with a bank on Friday to open an account and move the DDs over. All CC DDs are cancelled. So far no phone calls but it's early days! Feel really positive - should have done this when we had the LBM ie about a year ago. Oh well, better late than never.Debt = HUGE! LBM March 2010:idea:DMP starting May 2010:jWe are now proud to be dealing with our debt!!0 -
I stopped my Lloyds DD in January, I've spoken to every dope they employ including the one who thought I was supporting the BNP instead of a DMP, I've spoken to Managers who have escalated my case, and they finally sent me a letter yesterday saying????
you've cancelled your DDMore than Two Years in

Hi Ljm, I think we are setting a good example to our children by doing a dmp, working within a proper budget, only buying what we need, saving for things etc, we've had a serious attitude overhall, well i have, dh is some way behind.
Dd who was a bit of a consumer monster (since birth really, but 7 now-which I did make worse buying treats etc when feeling guilty about not being with her when i was at work) has got the idea since january. Seen something she wants, knows how much she's got, worked out how many weeks pocket money it is, that there's a chance a tooth might fall out and .... knows we need to look for a money off voucher online or look to see if there's one that needs a new home on ebay!!!
Don't know enough about f&fs to offer any thoughts...except I think we'll be looking into cca etc when the dust settles with dmp and f&fs are a distant dreamfor us no where to get the lump sum for them so will be saving pennies to built the up!.....
Nataz oooh lucky you in lovely northumberland...I'll take it with the extra kiddiwinks...I believe once you get past three together they start looking after each other....well that's what someone told me who had 9:eek:children.
Naughtmummy...how's it going, did you get ithrough to the insurance last night. What a pain in the...was it bad damage...bumped and touched doesn't sound too bad, I ripped a hole in the side of our car door by reversing slowly through a gateway.
Hope everyone has a sunny Tuesday!
Dd's day started well, two party invitations:eek: they will be wanting presents then- :(mmm wonder if'll they'll like handcrafted papermached vases....?
We have managed to step off the consumerism wheel by home educating, LOL! I think home ed lead me to my LBM, we were playing the roles of wannabe yummy mummy, boden catalogue kids etc but now we are free to be ourselves (a nutter mummy with a v small dog in every corner, a pumpkin patch in the back garden and 3 happy kids who don't worry about mud on their clothes)Paddle no. 12

Hi ljm23k,
that must be so difficult... my ex is the same though luckily as he is that, my ex, he won't be opening my post...he knows how much money we've had coming in and maintenance is minimal, but never questioned how we were affording stuff....
My husband doesn't even open my post EVER, so I'm being totally irrational!!Paddle no. 12

A huge thanks Happy, Mama and PDD,
am shattered now, I'm a 'fixer' so it's not easy waiting for others to make decisions... been down in that rollercoaster dip and beginning to level out again...HUGE sigh of relief... spoke to the CCCS, how wonderful are they! :)Person I spoke to totally understood the stress with being in limbo as well as the creditors... am carrying on as I am, although DMP is looking like 1st June:eek: ONWARDS AND UPWARDS....
I have to say, even if this sounds a bit wierd, sometimes it's good to get back in touch with that anxiety again to keep reminding me what it is like for new people on here and long termers when they 'dip'... kind of makes me more determined to give something back...
Thanks Guys.:D Think I deserve a 3rd Wacko bar and a double something with ice...
Be strong Teds and you will be ok. We all support each other so you are not alone!
Just looked at my bank account and as I went over my o/d last month they have whacked a £115 charge on it to be payed out of my account on the 30th! Trouble is I'm going to go right up to it's limit this month as I have no choice - I have to eat and put petrol in my car. So they will whack that on my account which means I'll be over again and thus another charge next month! I've opened a new bank account as I start my dmp next month and am now stressing as nothing will be going into my old account with the o/d this month as my pay will go straight inti my new account so they will slap charges on each month.
I've gone from feeling positive to feeling really down tonight after seeing this.Paddle number 22

£115!!!! that's pretty outrageous, how much is the overdraft? millions?
I presume that this overdraft is going into your DMP, so perhaps they will freeze the interest and charges and it won't pile up so much. The other option is you don't eat or drive and you can't do that. So no point in beating yurself up, at the beginning of a DMP it always takes a couple of weeks to get things sorted, so inevitably you will get interest from a couple of creditors, if you're prepared, you know its going to happen, its not so stressful. So feel positive, you've started the journey (God I sound like a reality show host) and its the right thing, hold your head up and it will get sorted, cos its now in your hands.

Thanks pdd!
My overdraft is £1300 and it's going to be on my dmp. It's with hsbc who I also have a loan and credit card with. I'm just worried that they won't freeze interest and it add up month by month. I have only 3 creditors and the other 2 are Halifax and mbna. Payplan have contacted them and we are still awaiting a response for our offer. Hsbc will be told before the end of the month.
One thing to look forward to I suppose is that when my dmp kicks in I'll be in credit each month with my new bank account. Looking at my hsbc account has been quite sobering of late!
Thanks for making me feel a bit better. I think I'll put the kettle on and listen to the second half footie commentary to see if my team can hold on! XxPaddle number 22

:TEvening all, I am freaking out. I have sent paperwork to CCCS, token payments to go tomorrow and truecall installed, BUT I feel really uneasy about leaving the house incase my husband (who doesn't quite know the extent of my debt, just that I'm trying to clear it) gets hold of the post before me. I can't bring myself to own up, I feel so stupid but then I think he must be stupid too if he thinks I had the cash for all the stuff I bought over the years. AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! Deep breaths.......
