That's great Pure dead dopey, i got my welcome pack today too
. It feels like things are slowly moving ahead :T.
Hi Girlypink, i'm still waiting for acceptance letters from the creditors too. As others have said, i think those letters are designed to scare you. I had 3/4 different debt collection agencies threaten they would visit but nothing happened. I wouldn't fret over it girlypink, it's not worth it
.
Hope everyone is having a good day :wave:Sealed Pot Challenge member no:918

Thanks Nataz and Dopey. Its so nice to have people in the same boat. I felt so guilty at lunchtime spending £1.65 in costa but its probably the first time ive had that much cash the day before payday! :rotfl:
I guess i better call egg, i hate speaking to these people over the phone never know how nasty they are going to be.
I think one thing i might say on here though as its something that i wondered when i first started all this.
I filled in my budget sheet on December 1st online with CCCS, recieved a letter to sign about 2 weeks later and sent it off within 2 days and my pack came through yesterday with payments to start in Feb so all in all thats about 2 months but less if you count all the bank holidays if you are thinking of going with CCCS
I havent had any acceptance letters yet though how long did you wait for these? Maybe i just wont get any lol :AGirlyPink:A"There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, maybe you just need to borrow a torch"CCCS DMP started February 2010 Estimated DFD August 2015 Total Debt 2004 =[STRIKE]£21,500[/STRIKE] 2010 = £9,850:eek:DMP mutual support thread: 3690 -

Still I would rather they issued the defaults now, as that means they will be off my credit file sooner rather than later.
That's good news re MBNA :T, do you mind if i ask how many creditors you have? I have 7 and all of them have defaulted. My once pristine credit file is shot to hell now.

I just got my first acceptance letter today Girlypink. I sent letters out in December, and started my DMP on January 1st (well it was probably about the 5th after all the Bank holidays).
I am guessing that things take a bit longer this time of year, as it is a common time for LBM's.
I am finding Egg to be a royal pain in the behind. They were the first creditors that I wrote to. I have also spoken to them, and emailed them, and they are still sending lots of letters, although they only try to phone once a day now (after last week when they were phoning about every hour). I won't speak to them anymore, and they can send all correspondance in writing. I get the impression that the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing in Egg-world.£365 in 365 days - £187/£365

Thanks Coffee-break im glad im not the only one then. it does feel like slow progress but i also feel like im cheating a little although i know its the only real way to get straight again. Ive never missed payments or paid late or less than i should before!!
I meant to say before Nataz, its a loan with egg rather than a credit card dont know if that makes a difference, they say its a breach of their terms not to have a direct debit set up with them in one letter. And if its your birthday today then i hope its a great one.
:bdaycake:
Does anyone else owe Barclaycard? They must call me 6-7 times a day on my mobile and then another 3-4 at home. i know i shouldnt but im just not answering. its not like i can discuss the situation when im at work anyway.:AGirlyPink:A"There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, maybe you just need to borrow a torch"CCCS DMP started February 2010 Estimated DFD August 2015 Total Debt 2004 =[STRIKE]£21,500[/STRIKE] 2010 = £9,850:eek:DMP mutual support thread: 3690 -

Ah so im probably a month ahead of myself then, if you've already paid your first payment with CCCS, i will hopefully get at least 1 by this time next month :T
Ive only had letters from egg, they dont seem to be as bad as some of the others re contact to be honest. Guess its different for everyone though.:AGirlyPink:A"There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, maybe you just need to borrow a torch"CCCS DMP started February 2010 Estimated DFD August 2015 Total Debt 2004 =[STRIKE]£21,500[/STRIKE] 2010 = £9,850:eek:DMP mutual support thread: 3690 -

I have five creditors (although I have three accounts with Egg - 2 cc's and a loan). I don't even want to look at my credit file now, but as I don't want any credit in the foreseeable future, then I don't suppose it matters.
If we do decide to re-mortgage, DH will do it without me; he has already written letters of disassociation to the credit reference agencies (my FiL who is an insolvency practitioner told him to do this) so his credit file should be ok.£365 in 365 days - £187/£365

It's my loan with egg that they seem to be getting their knickers in a twist about too. I also have two credit cards with them, so they are my biggest creditor in total. I had the same letter a couple of weeks ago.£365 in 365 days - £187/£365

They are my biggest creditor too, although i only have the loan with them. Did you contact them re: the letter? Were they horrible?:(:AGirlyPink:A"There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, maybe you just need to borrow a torch"CCCS DMP started February 2010 Estimated DFD August 2015 Total Debt 2004 =[STRIKE]£21,500[/STRIKE] 2010 = £9,850:eek:DMP mutual support thread: 3690 -
Girlypink, I spoke to them just after the letter, when they were phoning constantly. The person I spoke to was very polite, and noted down my reference number etc. I just don't think that their internal communication is up to much. I am not phoning them again as it seems to be a waste of my time. I have given them all the information I can, they just have to act on it.£365 in 365 days - £187/£365
