Great news on MBNA Prof - fingers crossed for the others! Are you a "real life" Professor then as well as a bloke?
No news on the job front yet then Ted? Hope you hear something soon!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hi all,
Just checking in to say hi. Had a bummer of a day yesterday, got a tax rebate for £100 from my old employer the only thing it was paid into my RBS bank account which is now frozen. I rung them and spoke to the king of idiots 'no you can't have it back' The idiot came up with some rubbish that i had to prove where it came from and that they my employer wouldn't pay again! It says where it comes from you idiot! but no madame you still have to prove where it came from!!!:mad:
Que phone slamming jumping up and down. So i take a breath and ring again i speak to a lady who is rather helpful. I ask if i'm in arrears as i have not missed a payment but have reduced payments this month. She says no arrears anad i'm 0%. I had to ask again RBS giving me 0%. so in the end i decided to pay the £100 off that debt as i was expecting it to be paid and its coming of the balance. I just hope she knew what she was talking about. Im going to check next month.
ANyways thats for today. Sorry for the rant, just well needed to rant! I've also had 2 NSD's so far 18 to go. Is anyone else doing that challenge.
hope your all well. Oh wish i had Aldi's here to mooch around!
Bye bye:j0 -

Thats good news but did you phone them or did they phone you? Didn't you send a letter asking that they didn't phone you incase your kids answered?

Spring has sprung here so took the kids for a free afternoon at a council run rare breeds farm and adventure playground, I'm so glad there are months of free days out ahead!!:jPaddle no. 12

Well I spoke to soon about it all being quiet round here. Big bundle arrived this morning, most just normal stuff but there was a letter from CCCS. It was about my BofS loan. Again. This time though, they arent willing to accept my reduced payment because, get this, my account is closed !!!!!!!! SO does that mean I dont have to pay anything more.... um guessing not. Anyway couldnt be bothered to ring either them or CCCS. Ive decided I dont need the hassel
Oh what a nightmare gabriella, glad its all sorted and whoopppeee to you, a free £100!
Well done candypop, you're nearly there. I dont think they can take money from someone elses account. But always a good idea to switch, esp if you can get a better interest rate.
Prof thats great news, good luck with those 3 mind, they dont have the best rep! You never know BofS might close your account too :rotfl:Debt at LBM - £11,505Debt 2011 = [STRIKE]8K[/STRIKE] £7760 - DF in July 2013DMP Paddle no. 1 Sealed Pot No. 1375Grocery Challenge Aug £418.31/£450 Sept £ /£4500 -

I can't believe how the same bank can treat people so differently
I've a loan with BofS, owe 11k, sent them the standard notification of DMP along with token £1 payment, then left it to CCCS, we got a letter from BOS solicitors a few days ago saying they where happy to accept a £1 a month payment from us from now on and stop all charges etc. Obviously they're gettiing more than that from CCCS but there was no mention of that, and £1 per month on 11k, how long would that take?!
On the other hand Capital One have taken to stalking me but I see others have had no problems whatsever.
Why can't they just have one way of dealing with things?0 -

No, MBNA wrote to me asking them to ring, so I did.
I am hopeful over BoS as they advised me to do a Payplan DMP in the first place, don't know much about Citibank, but Egg I hear can be total *******s.
Anyway, lots of positive news on here at the mo for all of us..

It would take pages to answer that question! In a nutshell, not happy with the national curriculum, we live in northern ireland and we had a revised curriculum where there was to be less formal education before age 7 and each child to be allowed progress at their own rate but very few schools are implementing it.Paddle no. 12
